Both of my Stams (the chestnut baby stam and my mouse stam) have the cream canvas lining. My friend has the putty one with blue suede lining. I'm pretty sure that that's almost the only color that came with the blue suede lining.

Ooh, i'm so excited- the baby just arrived. It is SO little and cute, it really does look like a baby of my regular stam! :heart: :woot:
I'll post some photos next week. I'm in my sweats with no makeup writing an essay today (and so not feeling very Marc Jacobs), and then off to Queensland tomorrow.
Can't wait to use it! Being black it's going to be so much easier to take care off too (although i need to get the cream canvas lining dry cleaned i think- it's got quite a few makeup stains). My poor putty shows every stain and scratch and always gets colour transfer when i wear it with jeans.
 
authentic???

I'm curious if y'all think this is authentic...ebay item number 230190837074...can it possibly be the elusive-and-formerly-much-coveted-by-all PETROL stam? I already have 2 stams and don't need a third...so if this is the real deal I hope it finds a new home with one of you soon! :D (oh and by the way...it is not my listing thus I am not self-promoting in any way)

i found a baby black stam...was going to bid, but then it went crazy...i think it ended for over $500 :shock: i hate the new bid sniping ebay has in place...it's so annoying!


tie~ you know if looks damn close. i had this in my watch items actually. i asked the seller for more pics and she replyed saying she was moving and already packed the bag and her camera and couldn't take a pic. but if i didn't feel 'comfortable' bidding, that i shouldn't....it looks mighty close to a real one, but i wouldn't bid and take a chance that it's a fake, considering she doesn't have much feedback...
 
heads up too, just checked out her feedback and apparently just sold 2 of those YSL tribute bags....and i dont think they were real...
 
Thanks for the great investigation work Jun! Given that info, I would concur with your thoughts exactly...that it's most likely not authentic. Too bad though...
 
EEEEEK! guess what i just found!?!?!??!?! :buzz: a baby black, first season icey stam!!!! i asked the seller if she'd do a BIN, and she agreed, and i just bought it!!! :buzz: I cant wait to get it!!!!!

heads up ladies, there's another one on ebay, the only thing is the seller is new and doesn't have any feedback. the pics in the auction are good though and im sure IF the bag is shown is the same bag you get, that it's a fall 05 one....here's the auction #: 280174416047

there's also a melrose bag, the black pony hair stam that came out as a limited edition. I'm almost pondering bidding on this, but i dont think i can, as i have major christmas shopping to do....so here's the auction: 190174213206

BTW~ neither one of thse are my auctions either...just passng on what i found after wasting most of my day yesterday online ^_^

you're welcome! the melrose bag is soooooo gorgeous! :doh: too many fabulous bags all popping up at once.... i want them all! :ninja: but i do have a black pony hair bag already....it will have to suffice....
 
Jun - congrats on the your baby stam!!! That's great because it sounds like you've been wanting one for quite some time now. Can't wait to see pics!

Thanks also for the heads up on the two ebay items...needless to say I know what you mean about spending hours on ebay looking for stuff...I don't know how much time I've wasted continuously looking for a cola stam (that would be the one bag that I have always regretted not getting...and I kick myself everytime I think about it). Hopefully someday I will get another chance...sigh :shifty:

it was kinda funny, because i had done all stam related searches...'marc jacobs stam', 'marc jacobs quilted' etc...and then (since im on a black binge right now) i did 'marc jacobs black' ....and got about 13 pages of stuff....the seller had this listed as marc jacobs patchwork handbag or something along those lines....and it only came up in that search...like on page 7 or 8 or something...needless to say, i emailed her right away with my adament desire to do a BIN...and it worked. It was mailed out this morning, from the east coast, so im hoping it'll show up before thanksgiving...and yes, i've been after a icey black stam for the longest time....
 
^ ah, that's so exciting! definitely post pics once you get it, so we can live a bit vicariously (i still hope to get one at some point!). :blush:

I know, i'm soo sorry! I'm a crazy woman with my last essays and exams this week, so i might have to wait until next week to show my stam some love and take photos.

Is it the same as mine with the cream canvas lining, or the original burgundy suede (i wish i could have got that)? Do you mind me asking how much you paid? Saw a black patchwork baby on ebay too, but it's going for $700!

i paid $325 for it. she had it listed @ 200, i offered her 3, and she said she'd take 325....so i was like YES! and it's the first season one, black icey leather :buzz: with burgundy suede lining...there's only a tiny lil chip in the antique finish on the kisslock, but i dont mind, and took it as a sign that the lock is nice and tight.

i just found a taupe stam on ebay...i dont know if anyone was looking for one...the price is close to retail, but it looks near mint. it's not my auction either and in australia...here's the #: 170170724677
