^ i just glanced at it and i think definitely not. the first thing that really jumps out at me is the contrast stitching... that's something i've never seen on an authentic. the quilting looks pretty flat as well.

i'm sure someone with a lot of Stam knowledge will elaborate, but i hope that helps a bit! i could be wrong...

Oh wow Jun, that is an amazing deal!! I know i can't be picky because they're so hard to come by, but for the price i paid for mine, i wish it had the burgundy suede rather than canvas lining.
I can't wait to see your photos too! I'm finally finished with uni, so i'll post some myself next week. I'm actually still trying to figure out what the baby looks good with (with some things it looks a bit akward, wheras i seem to throw my regular one on with everything), so maybe your photos will inspire me too!

yes, it's authentic...i believe it's a resort or SS 06 bag....non-icey leather, shiny hardware...you may just want to ask her for a photo of the inside pocket tag though and interior nameplate.

i took mine to my BF's uncles house today, we had to do another thanksgiving feast thing...ugh...4 this week...im going to get so fat! anyways...love the bag! and it matches a pair of kenzi heels i had already too...i wore them with a black lace shirt, levi skinnys and the stam. thought it looked pretty darn good....the one thing is though is that i need to go buy a new wallet, because my old one (checkbook size) doesn't fit in the bag....but that's just a swell excuse to drag my BF to the outlets tomorrow ....i LOVE the bag! and it actually is pretty much brand new...had the original tags on it and everything...im so in love with it!

ok I did and that's what she's answered:

Hi there,

This particular Stam does not have a metal plate inside. This one has gold printed lettering on the black leather trim around the inside zipper.

is it possible???

yes, he did that for i think spring 07...not quite sure which season right off hand, but he did do some stams like that...

general question. my stam is lined in a ivory-ish canvas and the label is leather. my friends on the other hand, is lined in a red suede-like material and the label is a metal plate. her stam isn't as big as mine and she told me that it's a smaller model. the gold hardware on the bag also looks brassy compared to mine.

I ask this because I think she bought a fake bag and doesn't realize it. she told me that they marked it down because the kiss-lock doesn't close properly.

help would be appreciated...

Have they discontinued the little Stam? (Not the Kid - but the little Stam without the handles.) Or has it just sold out everywhere? I really wanted a black one for evenings and stuff... sigh.
