Maria Grazia Chiuri - Designer, Creative Director of Christian Dior

Why wouldn't he? He doesn't have the power and influence to dare asking for both and even then they would never allow that.

Well as it turns out he is taking both to consolidate the Dior under one CD. The reason for that is practicality and JWA is doing great menswear much much superior to KJ bullsh*t.

If she wants to pull a Virginie Viard and rage-quit, she's is more than welcome to do it !!

TBH, I don't believe her going to Fendi rumors at all: going from Dior to Fendi is quite a downgrade.
It's the kind of "promotion" or career evolution you offer an executive when you actually want them to leave.

but she is very keen to be back in rome so was happy to go to Gucci for that simple reason as confirmed by people from her team (or Fendi i don't know from the team working with her if she was in good or bad relations with silvia )

If it becomes this, wonder what changed. She was en route to move after her Cruise show. Somehow, personally I feel it would be more to do with the breakdown of finding the political organisation and balance with Silvia, Delfina, MGC did also want to do Dior mens originally.
If she had Fendi to look forward, an Italian heritage maison back in her home city, still under LVMH, with slightly less corporate control in comparison to Dior, would she really let a future incoming J.W affect her feelings so much if she's meant to leave a brand she's had a decade long run at?

Why would the relationship have broken down acrimoniously though? She seems very diplomatic as far as designers go, I can't imagine her rage quitting or leaving the LVMH staple. After all, everybody knows Fendi is her end game. Nice, easy and breezy and in her home town with minimum effort required which means producing a tonne of logo stuff and commercial things with no soul mixed in with some random bits of feminism thrown in to remain somewhat topical. It's her perfect job.

This is so funny!

Yeah, I also realised that unlike Hedi or Oliivier or Haider Ackermann etc, no one has ever suggested Maria becoming indepedent and set up her own brand.

I do applaud the executives at LVMH (Delphine?) who decides to change her out despite her Dior selling well and stable.
