I'm with you on this oneOmg why did anyone bump this thread????? I thought she was exiting dior again... someone burn their house
If pure conformism and brand status is their only goal, then I pity them. They deserve the $57 handbags. No one in real life wants to look like Gwendoline at Margiela Couture show or Gisele cosplaying Elvis with leopard print creepers and laminated gold coat with huge fur collar.
I’m somewhat with you, but not in the argument that MGC didn’t ruin, or let’s say interrupt, Dior’s as a respectable fashion house. However, I do agree that something changed, people bought into it, and it’s working. I think that deserves some respect. You guys are so delusional, she's the best thing that could have ever happened for a commercial brand like Dior being part of such a huge conglomerate like LVMH.
If she is out, it's because SHE WANTS TO!
It's funny how most people complain about her being boring and wanting Galliano back...too bad his drag queen extravaganza vibe is so out of touch and terribly passè. No one in real life wants to look like Gwendoline at Margiela Couture show or Gisele cosplaying Elvis with leopard print creepers and laminated gold coat with huge fur collar.
I adore Maria Grazia, she's the definition of pragmatism. Her offerings target that kind of audience that is so filthy rich that buying Dior RTW is like going into Zara, or women who wear high fashion just as status symbol, to flex that designer tag or logo and do not wanna look like fashion victims. If you wanna flex and be avant garde at the same time, you go for Louis Vuitton by Nicholas Ghesquiere with the monogram designed (sometimes overly) pieces, if you wanna simply flex by having no real interest or passion for high fashion intended as a business or an art form, you get a book tote.I’m somewhat with you, but not in the argument that MGC didn’t ruin, or let’s say interrupt, Dior’s as a respectable fashion house. Interesting profile, by the way.
