I always wondered what it would have been like having Marilyn playing Holly Golightly instead of Audrey as it was meant to be, but the two are too different to compare I think, and Audrey is the only one I can truly imagine as Holly. Still, these photos are gorgeous :]

I think Marilyn would have been good in the role of Holly Golightly since she did possess those woman-child qualities that Holly has in the book. I think her portrayal would have quite been different to Audrey Hepburn's though and we definitely wouldn't have gotten to see all those beautiful Givenchy designs.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favourites, especially fashion wise. Still I find the idea of Marilyn as Holly triggering. I haven't read the book so I don't know would she have suited for the part, but I don't think she would have been out of the place in it.

I think Marilyn is absolutely fabulous, but still would have made Holly
way too dumb and sexy. Audrey is more subtle and elegant.
^_^

Gosh!I really can not find a word to describe her!She is a legend! And i just can't stop loving her...she is just so perfect, the way she sings, the way she dances,walks,talks...everything she does is just so cute!  I don't think there will b someone other who can be like her or so and i hate when ppl say Scarlett looks like her haha...she is nothing:angry: Thanks a lot for those pics, they r unbelievable!^_^ Ah Marilyn..."i wanna be loved by you..."

I think character-wise, she would've, but in the book, Holly Golightly is supposed to be a very thin/slim short haired girl, for which Audrey Hepburn perfectly fit. Perhaps Capote should've wrote her as a beautiful, blonde bombshell :p

I can't believe there are only 14 pages for Marylin whereas the likes of Lindsay Lohan have more than hundreds!! She's the ultimate beauty, I love the pics of her, especially when she was younger with long dark hair. I've scanned some pics of an old "studio" mag. I hope there are not repeats but so many have already been posted (Style Savy: they are great! :flower: ):

I love those pictures she looks so natural and very beautiful despite being wrapped in a sheet and being a little drunk!

I think she was/is the best actress. And I don't just mean among women but with men too. She is soooooo underrated as an actress in my opinon.
Even though I consider her the most beautiful woman ever it irritates me that people that aren't Marilyn Monroe fans biggest concern about her is that she was so beautiful, sexy, cute and so on. That seem to be the thing they care most about with her.
I know that she is a beauty icon but still. And people put so much interest in how she died and if she had an affair with the Kennedy brothers. I think it's interesting to but it's so many other things with Marilyn Monroe that I think is far more interisting.
What do you guys think about Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates?
I think is the best book ever. I have read two times and I will read many more times. This may sound really strange but I know that I will never read a book that is as good in my opinon. Beacause it's about Marilyn Monroe and by a genius writer as Joyce Carol Oates.
