Matthew M. Williams - Designer

i think they'd benefit from galliano far more than burton. she's a brilliant dressmaker and tailor but if they want hype... she is not the one for the job. they need a big rebrand - fashion with a capital F. john is the only one who can deliver that
only thing against him is that he was already at givenchy. will be strange to be re-appointed years later.

gucci position is wide open for him... if they really want to compete against dior... maybe it will bring back his mini dressess era

Im excited to see what it will look like. I was a fan of Alyx until its last couple years, and have always enjoyed matthews clothing for the most part! I for-see it not to be that hot though unfortunately. Mans spiraled after hos wife left for palace lol

I thought the news were about him opening a page at OnlyFans...and it could work better than anything he "designs" (although he is not my type at all, though).

My big question is what happened to Alyx. They were doing so well in the late 10s/early 20s: collaborations everywhere, blockbuster runway show, super loyal menswear clientele. Did the botched Givenchy gig really burn him that much?

Alyx, Heron Preston, A-Cold Wall, Heliot Emil (I would maybe lump earlier Peter Do here too) all feel dated. That type of skinny shoulder long cyber black satin blazer/coat combo with metal hardware.
