I bet you they will do the show somewhere like The New Museum or DIA Chelsea. Matthieu doesn't strike me as someone who is interested in historic locations the way that his predecessors were.

its giving ANCORA 2.NO those locations i hope he is a few levels up more sophisticated and pretesius like guggenheim like his ex did.

Yeah I can see them show at a cultural place.
The thing is that Metiers d’Arts is really about culture but at the same time, Karl already did NYC two times for Metiers d’Arts, using Art deco one through the lens of revisiting the 30’s and another time through Egypt.

It will be interesting to see how they will approach it this time.
I haven’t read so much about Blazy days in NYC and what he liked there but maybe there’s a clue in that.

Other locations that are very Matthieu are Hauser & Worth, The Frick Collection, and of course David Zwirner Gallery. I would be extremely surprised if they choose somewhere "historical" as Karl did for his Chanel shows. I predict it's going to be somewherevery contemporary. Also out of New York would be interesting for a Chanel show, but from that teaser image, I assume that it's going to be located in Manhattan.

We already had hooligans in Manchester for Chanel...do they really want to do clochars and pickpocketers in NYC subway this time? LOL
they can do chanel branded subways and it leaves with only guest on it etc why not ...he will need to do something real yet viral ...BV was a 3 part about milan italian life etc i dont see him be much different.....

Blazy is the typical north europe creative (like RAF & Pieter at CK with NYC) that comes to Milan and sees it as a Zoo of ideas as if he discovered a new plant in the amazon and can't wait to tell the world about it.

Even though Bruno says it was 'Matthieu's choice', I think the actual decision to choose NYC likely came from Chanel HQ, reflecting their renewed — and increasingly deliberate— focus on the U.S. market. I can imagine they’ll be inviting a lot of actual U.S.-based VICs, so they probably need something that can accommodate a larger crowd.
Anyway, nothing about it sounds exciting thus far.

The Frick collection could be nice after the renovation/reopening. If it's in actual subway station.....only Karl could get away with locations like that and make something fun out of it.

That bomber jacket on Kendrick scares me, as it is just...a bomber jacket with a logo? It looks like something that Raf Simons did at Prada in his first few seasons but slapped on with a CC logo.

And suddenly it has hit me that Matthieu will have to engage with the CC logo and that scares me in itself...
