Hardly anything good ever comes out of it. From what I understand, it’s mostly the celebrity stylists pushing for these deals, since they get a financial incentive alongside their “celeb” client.

I’m seated for tomorrow’s show! It’s the last one of the season, and most debuts have been rather underwhelming, so it’s an easy win if Matthieu plays it right.
I like the fact that David Bailey was chosen for the previews...

She can dress. That’s the only thing that matters to me. She has a personal style.

What I think sets apart Chanel for the most part is that they have a personality or an Aura that is positive for Chanel even when they don’t wear Chanel.

And Tracee has style. Ok, a contract will mean that she won’t be able to wear the direct competition but that’s all.

I don’t know if it’s the case for all celebs at Chanel. Margot Robbie changed her stylist while still being in contract. And most of Chanel’s ambassadors don’t really have stylists and work directly with the house.

It’s something that really started with Law Roach and Zendaya and nowadays, stylists wants to be in the conversation. But even at Vuitton, I think only Law Roach is on the payroll and gets to style the campaigns. As all the others were either handpicked by NG or are just friends of the house, the stylist may get perks but not necessarily be part of the deals.

But yes, overall the ambassador thing is exhausting.

I like how the past few months its been all about JWA's Dior and Dior's rotating celebrities. And the anticipation led to a luke warm show. It's been pretty quiet with Chanel. Even Demna had a half-there debut. Blazy will be a true debut.

There have been way worse and more confusing ambassadors for Chanel than her ... let's be real. She's beautiful and seems intelligent and elegant ... as a Chanel ambassador should be. At least a random K-Pop person was chosen (yet).
