Matthieu Blazy - Designer, Creative Director of Chanel

I want to see Caroline in new Chanel and what will be her picks.
Charlotte has never been a good dresser but she looks good.

I also think that’s the silhouette a lot of us playing to buy Chanel are going to go for. Much more fitted, not skin tight but much more fitted for a maximum impact. The fit on Rosalia’s dress is fantastic.

Maybe it would have been too sexy for the runway show and for the overall vibe of the show but for real life it’s good.

Well put. The way people consume fashion is now also different. Before social media, it was the rich and well to do who purchased the latest and the greatest. People saw some pictures on newspaper, magazines, then online. The mass got inspired and purchased the original or the inspired products.

Now, the fashion houses give celebrities the clothes for free to create a mass marketing campaign, whether the clothes fit or not (because they are free, celebrities are probably not allowed to make alterations in most of the cases).

In other words, what was popular back then reflected the choices of taste markers (or high end consumers). Nowadays, it was a soviet style top-down approach: These are what we offer. They look great, so now you come and buy them.

F that.

p.s. you worked in fashion in a golden era.

Maybe the greatest loss in fashion has been the way the idea of a tastemaker, of somebody who dictates fashion out of the thousands propositions, has been demolished indeed.

Even when we talk about celebrities, it’s not Lwren Scott or Rachel Zoe who had a POV, collaborated or imposed their style to their clients. Today, clients are wearing a full runway look courtesy of the design studio, Joe McKenna, MAS, Élodie D, Lotta, Benjamin Bruno, they change the hairstyle and are lucky if it works…

My goodness this is the corniest thing I have ever seen from a high fashion brand. I can't believe the brand selling 10k caviar timeless classic do CC logo christmas decorations. You don't see these tacky items at Hermès. Talking about elevation...
It’s their store (Hirshleifers) it’s not in the Chanel store or flagship. You can chill.
She has the right to have a corny display on her store lol

btw, the big shoulders already started in FW2025 in store. I was going to purchase a jacket, but when I put it on in the store, I realized that it needed a total surgery. Chanel uses the best seamstresses but I have never done that much alteration before. If they need to cut the shoulders by 2 inches each side, it will be a different jacket. So I didn't make the purchase. Even in the picture you can see the extra width in shoulders - tolerable but not my preferred fit.

Because she has a great seamstress. This cut and the runway offerings have nothing in common.
because the suit is from the 26P collection by blazy commercial stuff to be launched in store just before the show collection 26S
26P pictures was leaked a bit before the actual blazy show as well and what the celebs/ambassadors wore mostly head to toes is 26P to the show.

the suit is not much different on her sure they fitted it but that the suits cut also on the model and would be same in stote if you ask for alteration at chanel its free.

26 P lookbook leaked pics suit is very mango sorry not sorry !

the rolled up suits sleeve is giving 90´s pr intern vibes i cant its just so lazy way spice up boring suits as if she need to do the dishes before she leaves the house come on !!!!!!!

i wear a suit i am busy i work look at my pulled up sleeves PLS!!!!!!!! virtue signaling at its best.

Does anyone know how much they're charging for that quilted mini bag with pompom from the holiday collection?
Cause seriously, I can totally get 6k for a 19, 22 and a 25...but anything above 4k for that makeup free samples bag would be diabolical.
The timeless classic mini flap is currently priced at 4,8k...

I find something quite hilarious (and tragic) about a Chanel client having to roll up her sleeves to get to work or scrub a toilet.
The Tilda outfit feels imprecise and sloppy, which is a shame because she can really handle a controlled shape.

It's of course a bit unfair to judge Blazy on his holiday trinkets, even under Karl Chanel had absurd and tacky things, which added lightness to the brand. He really needs to streamline the core offer more and sharpen it up, I find that if core collections are not in order, desirable, aspirational and infused with a fashion perspective, these trinkets, ads and everything in the orbit of Chanel become annoying instead of adding lightness.

His next show really needs to be more sharp. Its such a fine line that he has to walk, because obviously loosening up the image makes it more modern and youthful, but his angle feels so muddy, I wish I could open a window during his shoots and button up the models and give them a glass of fresh cold water.

He loves a collar up for styling like its the 80´s still and sleeves up ..he should do a master class in styling tips 101.

But Pls 🙏 we put the date when we can judge him fairly lol
If it's not his first collection and his commercial collection or his xmas drop collection... is it with Dec 2th NYC collection ?

I think the Pro Blazy´s will say also no for this ...... next year than? Also too early mmmmm ..or same time as ancora like when he finally is fired?
Maybe then its the right time to look back and we all can agree it wasn't the best, nor amazing or right direction taken.

Did Karl not say your only as good as you last collection when it comes to fashion ?

stuff in his blazy chanel looks folders 1000% he has this 🤭:
