McQueen F/W 2026.27 Paris

Can I say? I was pleasantly surprised. The horror doll theme was very well done with the hair, the masks, the music without being too cheesy/in your face. I appreciate a themed show in a time when collections are just a bunch of clothes without any storytelling.

well he worked for JW as design director, both hate women and can't make clothes fit properly. They only make clown clothes for the fashion gays
ah I know that part. It's just didn't think McGirr would fall into JW's influence even...now. Just too obvious if that's an actual case.

came here to write the same. i enjoyed the finale with models posing on the platform looking like mannequins. but the collection is terribly underwhelming. the skull scarf has no place on a runway, bleh.

Don't get the point of the closing part with the curtain lifting. And the audience recording this all the way,,,did they really need that little to be excited?
The clothes weren't bad I guess? I liked the jumper/knit with the chains along the frontal braiding. Some dresses were nice. Nothing groundbreaking; just ok made clothes.

There were some nice techniques as expected - ruffled lapels, metallic knitwear, floral-quilted bomber jackets - but as usual it seems to be caught in an awkward space between creativity and commerciality. Trying to do a bit of both and not really working fully for either.

I would imagine the market for these types of clothes is relatively small regardless, so I wish he'd go full creative and embrace the darkness and romanticism of Alexander McQueen - at least this would be good for marketing purposes and increase the brand's overall aura. They could use this to support bag / shoe / perfume sales which are the most profitable anyway.

It looks like an attempt to make an average of McQueen both of Lee (on lighter side, with 0 edge and darkness) and Sarah done by numbers, which somehow ended up looking like JW or Blazy. It's hilariously bad. It looks incredibly cheap, I feel there are some echoes of I believe Lee's mid 00s collections but it's twisted beyond recognition, done in a sloppy way.

I liked the set though.

I feel sad for Lee´s work and name, he would have hated every bit off this and burn it all down...to see his work being diminish into a overpriced curtain cringe lame effect the should have safed that budget to hire the next creative director.

perfect TFS collection a bit of every designer in one show

Why does his clothes look so badly finished all the time...

What was the point of the curtains at the end? I thiught the curtains will open and the models would have been undressed and padded like dolls and would start running in happiness free from all this clothes.
