"Megan" Contestant Sought in Model's Murder

Very sad. Jasmine was stunning

She bore a remarkable resemblance to Barbie, or one of Barbie's friends.

He was known to be violent, and apparently her taunting him was part of their dysfunctional relationship ... another item for the 'what not to do' list. Very sad ...

The disfigurement of the body makes this even more horrific ... that, and the other woman he picked up while on the run make it pretty impossible for me to feel anything for him. (I am very short on sympathy for abusers.) But it's nice that someone does :flower:

^ It might be nice if I had some sympathy for him, but I don't ... nothing, nada. And I agree with Echoes that it's nice that we taxpayers are going to save a little money for once. Every little bit helps :p

He pulled her teeth out one-by-one --- think how much work that took --- and her cut her fingers off in an attempt to get away with murdering her.

I have nothing but comtempt for the jerk.

In fact, watch Sharon Stone's character in the movie "Casino"; her spiritual descendants are all over Vegas to this day, and so are the violent men willing to tangle with them...

It's funny that movie was on HBO a couple days ago...that was a powerful performance. Those fights between her and Deniro...

what's so alarming and sad is that so much of that description of their tumultuous relationship applies to so many relationships that don't escalate to murder.. which makes me so curious to know what tipped him over the edge this time. he obviously had anger issues and their relationship was clearly a passionate one.. but i know so many young couples who go through similar highs and lows in their relationships and marriages.. passion can be an overwhelming thing.. and i'm sure this wasn't the first relationship he was in that was rocky.

perhaps it was simply a matter of temporary insanity like someone said.. it doesn't sound like it was premeditated. it's frightening but i think people, especially with a certain kind of personality and in certain contexts, can just snap.. killing someone is a grotesque extreme, obviously, but i think a lot of people would be able to relate to impulsive moments where one is overwhelmed by anger or passion or whatever we call it..

perhaps so much of what transformed this from a passionate, rocky love affair to a case of murder was their environment, like that article reports.. i doubt being surrounded by wealth, fame and all the egos and power struggles in vegas helped their situation.. it's sad but i think to some extent it must play a part..

I dont need to know, but am curious, how did he initially end her life? Has that been reported, were there stab wounds, a gunshot entry?
Because obviously the removal of her teeth and tips of her fingers was post-death.

Just a sad sad world we live in...

sorry there is no insanity in his actions.!!!!!!
what he did was calculated and premeditated.
I have worked with crazy-insane people they are not that organized.
I am personally glad he killed himself.
It will help to give the victim's family closure instead of seeing him fall through the justice systems cracks.
it helps to rid the world of scum like him.
unfortunately he took another life before he did the world a justice.

this comes from a person who's 13 year old brother was murdered 19 years ago

From what I heard, her mum was one of her only living relatives:( The good news is that VH1 has cancelled MWAM and I Love Money 3, but people are pissed and they just want him edited out, or they care more about seeing their television shows. Some people just need a reality check.

TMZ.com identified the woman as Jenkins' former fiance, model Paulina Chmielecka. But CTV, a Canadian television station, reports that police officials have ruled out Chmielecka. CTV also contacted Chmielecka, who denied the rumor.

Police have been unable to discover where the murder of Fiore took place.

"We don't know where the original crime was committed. That's a big piece of the puzzle," the sergeant said.

I'm interested in the father myself. I suspect he is a big part of why the daughter ended up with such an unsavory character ... of course he could be Ward Cleaver, but ... I think not :innocent:

adorefaith, I think you're thinking of how you would feel if you did such a thing ... but of course you would not do such a thing ;) This guy seems pretty dark-hearted to me ... I think he ended it because it was clear to him he had well and truly screwed up his life, and he didn't want to live it as a fugitive and/or prisoner. This guy loved the 'high life,' loved attention, being on TV, very public in Vegas ... and if somehow he had managed to evade capture, his whole life would have become about avoiding the spotlight. My guess is that was the reason behind his ultimate choice ... there's no way he could continue living life on his terms.

The friend who thinks they'd have been normal if not for Vegas is living in a dreamworld. But I can def believe that Vegas (and the accompanying lifestyle, ambience, vibe, etc.) amped the whole thing way up ...

Girls who want to be Barbie: take a good look at Ken :innocent:

they may not have been 'normal'....but this may have not escalated to murder. i don't think that's so crazy to believe..

as for my thinking about the issue.. perhaps some of it does stem from how i would feel in the situation.. but at the end of the day, that's a big part of what we have to go on in life, no? ^_^ and perhaps he did end it because it was clear he had well and truly screwed his life up.. and that's not too far from the truth is it.. he did screw it up pretty well..

pretty screwed up world unfortunately..

^ I think part of what could have made the difference in a more normal setting is that hopefully people would have been pointing out that his behavior was unacceptable ... it seems that in that particular circle there's a certain abusive 'norm' ...

I would also prefer not to believe it, but I do think there are simply evil people in the world ... if you compare the sensibilities of someone who is well above average to those of someone who in her former boyfriend's words is an animal (and I think that sums it up pretty well) ... you aren't exactly apples to apples at that point ;)

She's been seen out with Punisher lately, although he wasn't the winner.
