How will you know about fashion houses in your area/country?I can't find a single fashion house here in melbourne,Australia.Anyone knows of what I could do?RHANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Sorry with my english.I am not really good at it.yet.

Not completely sure what you mean but Mercedes Australian Fashion Week was just in Melbourne last week. If you're after those fashion houses there's a list here you can find all the info about the designers and where you can find their stuff.

If you're after other international fashion houses most almost all websites and a section with shop/boutique listings...

Depends really what you are looking for. I find its a matter of going around and having a look. Greville st, chapel st, little burke, collins, toorak, fitztroy etc... Goodluck xx

melbourne

Saba is one of the most famous labels originating from melbourne...started gaining a reputation in the 80's but has gone a bit commercial now. Still worth a look. Not sure about the rest anymore..it's been a long time out of australia, but i ditto chapel street for original designers.

i dont think melbourne has fashion houses in the sense of Dior or Gucci.
Melbourne does have some great brands and some great shops too, check out:

Chiodo, Manvious, Roy, Scanlan & Theodore (although i'm not too sure if they are a melbourne brand), Assin (just a shop, but damn fine clothes!), Akira Isogawa (but is he sydney or is he melbourne?), Flinder's Way (love the store), Le Marais (another lovely store)
for me, i love shopping along:
flinders lane
little collins street
brunswick street

akira isogawa has a melbourne shop in the GPO centre

I recommend Chamber maid in Armadale!! great little shop
GPO centre in the city and QV centre also in the CBD

Rock and Salt are both shops in Church st brighton and are fantastic boutiques and Church st also has KiKi studio which is great for original clothing and there is mimco which is such a georgeous shop too

So I recommend Church st in Brighton
