I hope the Tear Mender works out for you. I have this leahter glue called petronio that is provides a permanent bond... i've fixed almost anything with it... shoes.. .bags... sneakers.. .kitchen drawers lol....

Look at this way... At least it is a clean slice, if your glue works good enough, the slice will be almost unnoticeable when it's fixed.

Too bad leather can't heal itself.

well, i just spent two hours driving to nordstroms to return it and get a gift card so i can have them ship one from georgia to me, that is in immaculate condition. i'm going to try and get 15% back from the seller, while it is not her fault, but i had to go through kinda a bunch of trouble with this, and think thats at least fair.

turns out, these were/are on sale @ nordstroms for $224.90....so with ebay i lost some $$ but i think in the end, this will all work out okay. if anyone else wants one at that sale price, call up the nordstroms in georgia (703) 761-1121 ext. 1250 and ask for franchesca. she helped me out with all of this. and i think thats one of the few stores where they have some more left. good luck, and im going to keep my fingers crossed until friday, when my replacement should arrive, unscared and clean shaven.

BTW, I wonder why no where I can find one with the long handles like those of the models carry. I would definitely prefer one like that.

the one with the long handles is the one i had, and will have again. it is the overnite/weekender size, but i guess they're discontinueing that size...thats why is on sale at nordstroms (and might i add, it retailed for $450, so its a pretty damn good sale too)

okay! dont kill me, but i just now found out that they were onsale online, and now only some states offer the sale prices while others dont. i think the best thing to do would be to inquire online and have them find one for you and make sure you get the sale price, because they'll try and charge retail for it. go through the live help feature, and the rep there shuld be able to get the sale price for you. good luck and i hope i didn't mislead anyone...sorry!!!!

I just ordered it through the Live Chat as Jun3machina suggested, and it worked!

The chat lady said that there were two left and called one store for me (Santa Barbara location), where it was placed on hold. Then I called that store with the number given me, gave them my information, and it's going to get shipped to me in 5-8 business days. I got the sale price without any hassle, too.

So there should be one more left at a Nordstroms somewhere if someone wants it!

I'm so excited! It's been several days of coveting, and the price is great. Thanks for the tip, Jun! And sorry to hear about your eBay hassles. Hope it works out for you.

(Also, I didn't breach any etiquette in ordering it for myself, did I? I figured it was okay since the info was on the thread for everyone, there's still one left, and there was a 3-hour lag between when the info was posted and I ordered. I figured it was every woman for herself! )

oooooohhh noOO!!! i hope it wasn't my return! i returned mine at the SB location and explained the flaw to them. I hope they didn't just put it back out! I have a terrible feeling its the same bag! i told them it was defective, and they didn't seem to care, and issued my giftcard. I REALLY hope its not the same bag, but i dont think there's any chance they had two. their handbag dept is very tiny
