Missoni for Target

I don't see why they just didn't put a restriction on the amount of each item like H&M does.

i've never had a problem buying target's designer items before in stores. i have been buying items from their designer collaborations since 2001. everything was stocked and re-stocked before. sure, there were people waiting outside for the proenza schouler, rodarte and mcqueen & liberty stuff - but they werent buying a hundred items. and the mulberry for target items were re-stocked and sold for 50% off...

but for some of the home design collaborations people were buying ENTIRE stocks wiping out the whole thing instantly like they did for orla kiely.

unfortunately poverty levels in the US are up, and this makes some people feel the need to hoard and re-sell for tax free income. :(

there might also been organized shoplifting rings at work here.

so i think its a perfect storm really..(a confluence of all these factors)

its unfortunate for the rest of us normal reasonable people...

Damn...I'm glad I ordered my two dresses online at 6:30 this morning. No rush, no technical difficulties.

Jesus, I was planning to go tomorrow. Hopefully they'll restock and there is a Target in the Bronx that I will check out if I need to! I only want the home items!

I'm undecided whether to just order the 9 out of 15 items in my shopping cart that are still available or if I should just wait for Target to re-stock everything. If they re-stock it would definitely be cheaper for me to just place one order but if they don't re-stock and the other things I want sell out too I'd be heartbroken.

All those reports of people filling 3 carts with stuff and just going berserk in stores really turn me off

why not just purchase real missoni home? Decking my home out in Ikea and Crate & Barrel doesn't sound appealing if I was some kind of socialite.

But for me myself, being somewhat poor. I would loved some bedding, a rug, and some interesting cups. But i fear the cups would lose their look in less than a years time...

ugh the people on ebay who hauled this collection are disgusting. i really hope target keeps stocking this collection through december so everyone can get what they want and also to teach those ebay people a lesson

I'm so disappointed. I've had this date circled on my calendar for a few months.
I left at 6:15am this morning so that I could get to work early and pick up a few things and it's now 2pm and the site is still down for me. Unfortunately I don't have one of those jobs where I can sit at the computer.
When it was sporadically working (and holy crap was it SLOW!) I managed to get the five items I really wanted (the glass bowl and throw blanket were already sold out) and when I went to checkout, it crashed and I lost everything in my cart. When I went back to put the items I wanted in there, they were already sold out.
Frustrating to say the least. (There is no Target here, so online is the only option). I'm so mad I'm like .... "forget it I don't want anything now!" I hear a baby onesie has already been listed on eBay for $124.99
Are you guys sure everything will be restocked online? I'm thinking I should just let the mania die down and try again tomorrow night or next week or something.

Everyone's Target Missoni stores are pretty funny. Yeah - I'm curious as to why Frankel doesn't buy the regular Missoni line, too.

Anyway, I managed to snag some things from my local Target. Of course, if I had been back in my hometown of Brooklyn, New York, I wouldn't have gotten a thing! But where I'm living now, the population is smaller and neighborhoods are more spread out. I did find out that there was a Missoni line waiting outside before the store opened. I got there around 3pm and some of the best stuff was gone. None of the signature style cardigans were left. But I managed to get these

I went to two different Targets this afternoon by my neighborhood thinking I'll probably find a few things here and there, but boy did I thought wrong. Every Missoni items were wiped clean. I couldn't even get the mug I wanted, let alone those throws. Had no idea SO many people are Missoni lovers. But who am I kidding, they're probably all gonna end up on eBay :(

Arrived at my local target's opening time. Six or seven people had lined up, which was quite surprising for around here. But...erm, that was all. Hehe.

Snagged a cardigan, the multicolored zigzag dress, flats, and some decorative boxes. Also ordered more organizational stuff online after coming home...thankfully by that time there was a break for the website and my stuff was still in my cart.

Thank god I wasn't after the textile/home stuff, because it seems that was the big draw!

I'm headed to my local Target right now. I've been at work all day, and just saw the website isn't loading. I hope when it gets back up it isn't all sold out. My mom (love her!!) checked out the Target by our house in suburban Connecticut around noon. All of the women's and men's clothes were gone. Just little girls clothes remained. Throws and pillows were gone. She got me a headband and a scarve, because that's all that was left. Hoping for better in Washington, DC!

My Target had a similar amount of people, but they were still sold out by 8:20. If I hadn't been there when they opened, I wouldn't have believed they ever set anything out.

I feel really bad for people who thought they would be able to buy anything on their lunch break.

Target's website is down again. I didn't know it would be this intense.

It's been down all day long for me. not even once was I able to get it to load.

It comes back every 30 minutes or so, to show they pretty much everything is sold out. @targetstyle on twitter said that many online won't be restocking, but some stores may be.

ugh so annoyed...

WTF, this is target not H&M.

I can share your sentiment too. I stopped by my local Target this morning, and saw these 2 ladies tossing anything and everything Missoni related items into their carts. But the funny thing is, they don't even look like the type of people who would know what Missoni was!

Needless to say, I felt empty handed since there wasn't anything left after all the fleabay horders ransacked the store. Well, I did get some groceries...

it's all the ebay people. like previously posted, i hope Target can restock. those ebay sellers people can keep their overpriced merchandise.

I clearly underestimated the suburban women's love of Missoni for Target and thought that I would be able to stroll in around 12pm and still get something good. wrong. There were only size XXL left in the women's section and there wasn't any of the mugs or throws left that I wanted either.

tre disappointed. I wonder how soon the stores will restock?

^Probably not so much the suburbia women's love for Missoni as the potential for high mark up prices on ebay, especially in this economy.

^exactly. you gotta know with the access to online shopping, target offers, the ebay vultures are certainly going have an easier time to prey on everything they can snap up and sell off at even more expensive prices.
