Miu Miu F/W 2015.16 by Steven Meisel

This made me cringe, as it couldn't be more try-hard (which people were commenting about their mens' campaign, and now I totally register) or repealing.

Very 70's but kind of fresh at the same time!...this makes the Prada anticipation even more exciting.

The concept might similar with Gucci but the outcome is totally opposite. To me both actually project things differently. I'm more too Gucci but this is also strong campaign of the season.

It's devine. Can see he's inspired by the Loewe project, nice input for the air of the moment.

I had a glimpse it a bit Gucci but come onnnnnnnnn

Miu Miu slayeddd

I hate the fact that it's celebrities fronting the campaign again but this is actually really nice! Very different from the typical advertisement.

I still prefer the last campaign, but this is good. Very cinematic. Unfortunately the main cast gets overshadowed too often by the extras. The two women approaching made much more of an impact on me than the 'four ladies sitting'.

Campaigns are starting to look exciting again. :woot:

It's about time! I feel like we're finally moving out of minimalism and commercialism to a more individual and creative period. Let's just hope everyone will follow.

This is out of this world, some of the best Campaign work ever. Meisel at his very best.

I loved the Gucci campaign but this totally destroys it. I love the references, the photography history, and the execution pre, shoot, post, is flawless and perfectly matched on every level, the nuances are spectacular. The narrative is what fashion should be, IMO.

Subjective reality like a parallel dimension. You are a genius Mr Meisel, King, you remain.

I have to say I love this. I was really excited when Gucci came out, but it fails completely in comparison with Miu Miu. The campaign may be quite busy, but it is executed flawlessly. Sometimes the clothes aren't really visible, but it makes me want to visit the shop even more.

I absolutely agree and am very excited! This campaign and Gucci's seem to be the first signs of a new mood and a re-energized attitude towards fashion. Didn't you just get the impression no one even liked what they were doing for the last 6-7 years? Everyone was on autopilot. These two campaigns feel very optimistic, positive, individualistic, creative and ultimately just beautiful.

A bit hit and miss + it does look more like an editorial.

Completely agree. Even though I would have preferred a seventies Italo setting over the Americana context I think this is superbly executed. So rich in layering and narrative. Fantastic compositions and the cast really adds in terms of character. Whereas in Gucci they're just standing and laying around, your basic fashion platitude.
