I don’t like this at all and its one of the weakest outings since Miuccia parted with Katie Grand.

Having said that there is something almost endearing here. It was mentioned the usual Hitchcockian tropes and the idea of a daughter playing dress up, some of the models hair was done that looked to me like wigs about to fall off their heads, the garments fits well on her but not quite right enough. Did she steal it, who is she trying to impersonate, who is she obsessed with?

The Single White Female horror aspects of this collection is it’s only saving grace.

On paper, I like this collection. There’s a lot of fun proportions.

I kinda wish this was shown in a more intimate setting re: fall 2009 or spring 2010. I feel like the clothes look a bit washed or sterile in this type of show setting and that doesn’t feel quite right tonally?

I was confused the whole time because the clothes for me were more commercial and the intention behind them seemed in total conflict with the styling and casting.

A sense of emptiness after watching the show. It’s like « ok this happened ».
Whatever statement they tried to make ended up quite flat.

I don't get why this would be considered stunt casting and styling. They've been cultivating this exact aesthetic for years—an intentional mix of high and low, polished and raw, bourgeois and rebellious. In that case they've been stunt casting ever since Sevigny showed up on the runway. The buttoned-up blazers styled with knee-high socks and undone hair, the perfectly cut coats worn off-kilter, the mix of satin, fur, and tweed is nothing we haven't seen before in their styling.

If you're aiming for a bit of intellectual eccentricity, you should commit! Dare to be bold, or else stay safely classic. This in-between, half-measured approach is simply not memorable. Good reminder on how terribly important it is to edit, edit, edit...

It is interesting that they are committed to diversity of gender expression still in the casting. It often looked like old fashioned crossdressing here. Conservative feminine clothes on boys apparently looks more jarring than the outré Balenciaga clubwear.

Other than that I'm really bored by this house.

it's like she fell asleep at the wheel. this is miuccia's autopilot season and when reason is asleep... we get this tawdry half-azzed attempt at provocative bourgeoise quirkiness with an unappealing, languid color palette. something about it gives whiffs of the moment before someone is committed to an asylum in the 60s.

she needs a new source of inspiration

we had 20 years or more of the idea of edited voice ,we live in a new time where more things can be true at the same time and means also her being an italian woman of another generation and still explore so many different ways to say the same thing is admirable.....

few years back she said this in an interview , to be niche and intellectual and speak to just an elite group of people is easy , to do the same with a bigger wider audience is more difficult and interesting and she is interested in speaking with more people.

i want a prada and miu miu that is more messy and searching........not perfect........i want to feel not totally comfortable when i see the show .....i want to dare to try or like it or not .......... trends and influencers and store merch is already doing the editing for people to hope on.

people need to be braver and bolder to make own choices with all the options that are out there , and leave dicting/edited entities to the past i feel.

If she were to propose new, brave, bold ideas—even if they were messy—I wouldn't mind. her voice comes from a bourgies twisting conservative ideas filtered via italian cinema heydays and her questions on taste and society
she is not phoebe she did not wear gold grills or dance on dancing pole for a shoot etc ...whe have to know and judge things from their origins

i don't think this collection as presented is so commercial lol they have merch in stores with more logo to sell it does not need this collection for that.

regarding the repetition of old things she always repeated since day one at miu miu and prada
its her brand its her style you cant expect her to keep coming back to these things look how she came out at the end of the show its 10000% her.

Then I suggest Miuccia and Patrizio Bertelli should hire Kim Jones to make them money, Kim wears a lot of Miu Miu these days
Miu Miu x Supreme or Miu Miu x Nike or whatever not that different from what she offers here
At least with Kim, you get supermodels and a proper good casting lamo
