Under the gimmicks, which unfortunately took 70% of the space, there was a decent collection.

Funny detail: some tops were constructed here in a similar way to Dario's at Versace, superposing layers and opening the sides...

Enjoyed the nod to Prada FW08, some dresses were nice, a couple of pieces from the menswear...

Still underwhelming.

Setting is awesome. The room reminds me of my middle school cafetaria, with its columns, huge wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows and blinds. But the highlight is seeing everyone so uncomfortably tightly seated atop tables— especially Anna most uncomfortably seated on a table with her legs dangling awkwardly made it a worthy showing. Some guy was smart enough to have a table all to himself in the back row instead of squashed in the front LOOL

(At this point, this brand is so predictable with its mixing of older Prada and MiuMiu collections and sillily deadpan styling to force clickbait/editorialbait/viralbait. Eh.)

I love how Miuccia goes in the end like "You like this, you like this yes? I take the poo poo on you, and you like it, no?" While smiling happily.

I thought the music was reminiscent of a circus tent too.

I think she is successful, I take the bait with surprising regularity lol.
They weave in so many narratives to react to when most brands just do bland.

Miu Miu started losing the plot around the Fall 2024 collection. And I loved those early MM x LV collections (Spring 2022-Spring 2024), even if the merchandising/logomania started then, I do believe those collections had interesting propositions that impacted trends -- especially S/S 2024 with the polos). Since then, the casting and hair/mua of the models has only gotten worse, the "brand ambassadors" more confusing, the collections/looks more stuffy. Nonetheless, I'm sure the accessories and shoes will sell well (both the Miu Miu and the Steve Madden-duped versions).

It's weird because all of this will look better on Lotta once she starts wearing for her IG (part of her impact is she is an influencer); her personal style is usually not as piled on the collections she works on.

I did like the set, the sunglasses (which I'm sure were found in the Miu Miu archive), the jewelry, a few of the white mini dresses, and the black lace looks (that recalls Prada F/W 2008 as one person noted). The color palette was nice. Just wish it was it edited more and more chic...it had potential.

Liked some of the looks. Styling in 80% of it ruined it. It takes a more sophisticated eye than Lotta’s to pull this off. But the idea underlying was interesting

As much as I love Miuccia's work - and I really do - it should be said that Miu Miu has kind of been stuck in a rut ever since it became really hip (the cut-off collection set it off) and particularly after Fabio left (SS24 was his last show and also probably the last show from the brand that made a real impact on global fashion). It's becoming apparent that Miuccia is relying on Lotta's tricks and stunt casting to zhuzh up the brown leather jackets, slouchy pants and polo shirts they keep re-doing for some seasons now, which is precisely why it may be time to come up with something fresher and let go off Lotta, similar to how Katie Grand was dropped after several years of pushing glittery stuff on former Victoria's Secret angels.
Contrary to what was suggested earlier in the thread, I don't think Miuccia is mocking the working class by centering her collection around aprons; if anything, she used a 'humble' item of clothing to make something rich people will buy just like many designers do, except it's known that she was always rather inspired by uniform dressing and plain clothes than by glamour and bias-cut gowns.
In that sense, it's a fairly regular collection for Miuccia, with lots of her beloved V-neck sweaters, neat little dresses, desirable flat shoes and sunglasses and a certain hope that Kylie sElFmAdEbilli0naire Jenner was repelled from Miu Miu after seeing those ditsy flower prints on people who barely wore makeup. 😆
