Miu Miu S/S 2026 Paris

Contrary to what was suggested earlier in the thread, I don't think Miuccia is mocking the working class by centering her collection around aprons; if anything, she used a 'humble' item of clothing to make something rich people will buy just like many designers do, except it's known that she was always rather inspired by uniform dressing and plain clothes than by glamour and bias-cut gowns.
I´d like to see a bias-cut satin apron...a mix between work clothes and glamour gowns.

I don’t know why, but I had a feeling they were going to take their own riff on that Versace collection. It’s seems a little vindictive. In the end, Prada is going to be overseeing what pieces go to magazines and stylists, and we all know which version they will choose. If they do fire Vitale, it’s going to be cruel and uncomfortable up until the very end.

Huge Miu Miu fan, but this was probably the worst collection in fashion month for me (considering the bigger names)

If Hüller had worn the opening look in Anatomy of a Fall, the trial would have be very easy for the judge and jurors, and us audience detectives. (just kidding:bounce:)

I needed to process this collection after 2 viewings and I’ve come to the conclusion that I do love it.

The collections obsession over the aprons initially destroyed my heart but when I removed them from SOME of the looks I ended up finding really beautiful details like the textured zipper pullovers.

Maybe just me but I thought this collection offered some really beautiful bags and shoes in that woven leather.

Lotta’s styling can be very challenging to decode but I can appreciate that and I’m happy she has a place in fashion. That said wtf was that second last look with the black apron and bra that poor model’s boob was about to make this collection un-Christian!!!

I read it as a reflection on the perversion of collide between labor class and luxury I guess ? With a touch of sultry femininity vs hardened femininity. But yeah... whatever that means.
It feels Miu Miu, though so heavily merchandised in the styling and so very literal. It kinda flops imo.

Not severely bad, but certainly not good or exciting at all. Just milking every tiny drop from an idea that doesnt feel fresh or subtantial nor does it feel comfortable in this time of socio-political unrest all around the world. When fashion is being more and more called out for its Ivory Tower complex. I am not sure if Miuccia or Lotta have, anymore, the sarcasm or the irony to reflect on this with integrity and a subtle wit. + the feminism spin feels contrived tbh.

I thought of Fassbinder too, specifically Fear Eats the Soul, but Google image search didn't bring any direct matches. It has a cleaning lady lead character.

I love how Miuccia goes in the end like "You like this, you like this yes? I take the poo poo on you, and you like it, no?" While smiling happily.

I thought the music was reminiscent of a circus tent too.

I think she is successful, I take the bait with surprising regularity lol.
They weave in so many narratives to react to when most brands just do bland.

Usually Miuccia says the dumbest things backstage just to justify a bad collection and give it “intelectual” spin. But its always far from inteleftu, it makes her look so dumb.
This time she mentioned the gap between the rich and poor in the world - so it means she’s offering a look to the rich people to look poor and not stand out on the streets lol.
At least Lotta admited its about a book from which they copy/pasted all the ideas. Pathetic, but at least more honest than Miuccia’s so called intellectualism. Vomit.

I love Miuccia, but it’s a known fact that she is the ultimate Bourgeois Fashion Witch. She’s that kind of designer.
