Model Casting F/W 2022.23

Kinda anticlimactic to get Kendall when they made it seem like the collection's gonna be a tribute to models. I was hoping they'd get the likes of Sasha and other house muses from the past years. LOL.

That Prada casting was indeed divine! Pity that Stam didn't walk the show, although the was a Miuccia favourite. And no Gigi although she wore Prada at the MET?
Edit: Other than Kendull of coure

I kinda like Prada's cast this season, apart from a few ones I could do without. Now I need to have a closer look at those I don't know or barely see who they are. Always a pleasure to see the likes of Elise, Querelle etc.

And why on earth did Kaia open the show? So basic :yuk: anyhow, Max Mara, loved it ….ok now off to Moschino.

I don’t like Kendall as much as the next person but she fits the brand much better than Gigi who looked awful on the runway last season. Embarassing to see Miuccia stoop to this level of Gigi and now Kendall and still not have the brand doing well

Loved the Emily Sandberg comeback! Great casting at Prada.

Prada was exciting! I loved seeing the regulars especially Arizona. Kai Newman was a pleasant surprise as well.

Prada was a snoozefest. When a brand that was the leader in casting has to resort to these gimmick castings, it's not a good sign. Showing us its all about the $$ and I only remember Kendall from it. Actually it prob the only thing anyone cared about backstage. Fendi had it going as they just embracing the girls of the moment.

Despite my initial comment regarding Kendall Jenner at Prada, I actually thought she looked rather fantastic. Prada's casting was extremely solid - Elise Crombez (hello!) and was utterly fabulous to spot Arizona Muse.

Karolin Wolter just shut is dooown at Blumarine!

I agree it says a lot about Prada that they felt the need to include Kendall. Having said that, I wouldn't have really noticed her otherwise as she blended in all right. They didn't give her a prominent place in the line up so I do feel like they were not making such a big deal out of it. And it is not a big deal in 2022 (probably never was)

I think Prada is one of the very few brands with such a strong casting history which was on full display here. To see Hannelore Knuts, Marina Perez, Elise Crombez and others..pure joy. It's something not a lot of brands can do because they lack a strong association with particular models. I think it really added something to the collection and it was very clear that the Prada faces from the past represented the brand in a much more convincing way compared to a sea of new faces nobody's going to remember next season.

Kendall surprisingly fit well in that cast! Also Kendall has been modeling now for like 8 years, so her being in cast for a show that is "saluting models" isn't that out of reach.
