Model skin & body care tips / products

As much as I sometimes ahte them eu have to read those once in a while. Thanks hun

I did try the vaseline thing for like a couple weeks but it was just tooo greasy...

Try jojoba oil for the face...i put it lightly on my face after I moiturize it with "afterlife" from LUSH and the next morning wash my face with cold water and wa la! my face looks dewy! and my pores are so much smaller!! and I havent got any break outs form it. I would give it a try. I was hesitant at first putting oil on my face but im glad I tried it.

where do i get caster oil? ..n those of u who tried putting vaseline on ur eyelashes... did they grow longer? I'm azn.. n my eye lashes r always thin n short..well...shorter than caucasian eyelashes. Ne suggestions on how to get thicker and longer lashes?

the webspeak is really annoying...

You can get castor oil where you find the laxatives. I got mine in a pharmacy. there is a thread about growing thicker lashes, you could do a search, I am sure it will turn up.

Ok I got castor oil at my local chemist so I think you'll find castor oil at your local chemist too

I use a mix of vaseline and castor oil and my eyelashes are long now.. I used to have semi long eyelashes but ruined them by mascara etc now all I put on is a small mixture of vaseline and castor oil.. its works treats

^ How do you mix vaseline and castor oil? Do you just apply one thing first and then the other one over it or do you actually mix them?

well I actually mix them!! Haha a teeny scoop of vaseline and a teeny scoop of castor oil and apply to lashes.. DONT apply too much!! And also it takes around a month to notice a full on difference.. trust me this works xD

well to be specific I mix them afterwards and dab a clean mascara brush in the mix and apply to lashes.. people do NOT put toomuch and do NOT put too less..

I've been using castor oil on my lashes for about 2 weeks and am already starting to see a little difference. My lashes look fairly longer and fuller.

wow really.. ok.. ill give it a try. What if you put a lil too much on ur lashes or too little? Any negative effects? I used to cut my eyelashes in hope of making them grow back longer.. they did grow back a lil longer..but ive heard it doesn't grow back on some ppl..so mayb i should stop

I'm watching the Tyra Bank's show right now & she just revealed to her studio audience her biggest beauty secret ever...Vaseline! It was quite ridiculous acutally, she gave them vaseline bottles covered in crystals worth $100! lol Does anyone elese do this? I didn't think it was good to apply Vaseline, as well as baby oil, around the eye area. She said she used it morning, noon, & night around her eyes & mouth. I'm very curious as she has really great skin & Vaseline is super cheap! I wonder if Elizabeth Arden 24 hr cream would be a much better substitute??

wouldnt that cause puffiness? I have very sensitive skin

Gia I'd be careful using so many man made chemicals on your face. Why not leaving it off in the winter? Is there that much sun in Philly in the winter? Also I'd advise you to wash it all off at night and leave your skin bare. Is staying out of the sun not possible?
you should wear sunscreen in winter, as the atmosphere is thinner and cold air is already chapping your face and skin = less protection against UV rays. especially if it snows, the glare from the snow is very harsh.

Maybe just use a foundation, or tinted moisturise with SPF protection. I find it too time consuming using sunscreen and it also irritates my skin.

For castor oil the MORE you apply the BETTER.. but for vaseline it makes your eyelashes fall if you apply too much:cry:

Have you tried Aesop? They have this amazing product called 'oil free facial hydrading serum'. It uses only natural ingridients and seriously is a miracle when it comes to my skin. Its designed for combination and sensetive skin plus an aussie brand too.

Really????? How much is it?? I have an incredibly oily tzone.. blemishes everywhere.. wwill it cause more??

i think its about $60 for quite a big bottle, but its really worth it. You probably need to treat the blemishes separetly though, but i dont think it will cause more.
