Teenage-early twenties models aside, most of the other models don't have exceptional skin (exceptions of course). I'm not saying they have bad skin, but just they wouldn't necessarily be the ones I'd be taking skin care tips from. Erin Wasson for one, looks weirdly shiny sometimes, and Kate Moss in candids doesn't have amazing skin...

Anyone use the Touche Eclat by YSL? In ALL these years of me buying cosmetics, I've never used it, just used mascara by YSL. I dont really feel I have anything to conceal and I never want to look like I am wearing any makeup, and my eyes are really nice for me being 27, no fine lines or dark circles, but I have always wanted to try the Touch Eclat...any reviews? Heck, there's probably a bunch of talk about it in a thread dedicated to it.

^If you have medium to very dark circles it's just useless. It brightens a bit, but it's not really a concealer, more of a highlighter (no shimmer, of course). I like it down the bridge of the nose and and on my eyelids, but it really shows up in photographs because of the light reflecting thing they put in. I don't think it's worth it.

I use it every day, not to conceal, but to highlight my under eye area. It's one of my makeup bag staples

I love the Touche Eclat - brightens any part of the face in a flash. However, if you don't use it after a while, it will start to stink up. Dior does a skinflash (similar product to the touche eclat, but brightens even more) is actually my preference...

I have used dior's skinflash too and I liked it. Honestly I bought it when I really wanted touche eclat becuase it's about $5 cheaper. Since then, I've been using and repeat buying Lancome's Flash Retouche which is about $5 cheaper than even the dior one, but I like it even better! It has more of a concealing nature and a little more subtle on the light reflecting properties so I guess it depends what you want. It is still a very light sheer concealer though, but I guess if you want more coverage you should go with a cake or something.

So summary:

•YSL Touche eclat: ~$40; about equal between light reflecting and covering ability
•Dior's skinflash: ~$35; more light reflecting than covering
•Lancome Flash Retouche: ~$30; more covering than light reflecting.

All are those pen brush styles.

I really hate it and I think it's a waste of money... It looks absolutely awful on flash photography Stay far away from anything light reflecting underneath the eyes if you're going to have your picture taken...

I also tried the Dior skinflash, but the tube used up so quickly. Way faster than the YSL and I used both every day.

I love the YSL touche eclat, its all I use day to day. I find anything else sits funny under my eyes, creeps in and makes lines etc. I use it sparingly, just a touch under my eyes. I haven't found anything else that works as well.

^I think Helena Rubinstein Secret Concealer does the trick much, much better.
