Generally they do but there's always a 'get out' clause if the agency has not acted in the best interests of the model. Whatever the reason a model chooses to leave, it may be difficult and costly to legally challenge. Even the publicity of a challenge may very well increase the profile of the model which might be the last thing the dispossessed agency wants to do.don't models sign contracts? how can they just leave an agency?
Yes, especially the ones who have snagged big campaigns and editorials; that's why I don't think rampant poaching going on. I think that the agencies losing the models are willing to let them out of their contracts, either free and clear or with a payoff or a revenue-sharing agreement. Of course poaching takes place and when the poached upon agency doesn't like it, they take legal action.don't models sign contracts? how can they just leave an agency?
