My boyfriend just told me about "monki" which seems like a new brand by H&M.
Anyone heard from Monki?

I´m not sure if I like it or not. Boyfriend said it looks alot like Urban Outfitters. The website gives me a cheap-vibe.

here are some photos:

I have heard of Monki before (a couple of years ago, I think), but I didn't know it was by H&M. The prices are higher than H&M's... I've never shopped there because there isn't a physical store here in Lisbon and it does have a cheap vibe (which H&M does too imo), and the styling in their photos is anything but appealing!

I was confused if it really was by H&M but the monki app says "Monki Me by H&M" and so does wikipedia.
I know. the style is horrible!

I dislike the styling... But some of the pieces on the website look cute :) I like these:

it's similar to COS status wise. it's not a line by h&m like divided but an actual brand and in the stores there is no hint to h&m.
they only have stores in scandinavia and one in germany as far as i know. you can order online though, and maybe they are expanding at the moment?

monki is the reason i couldn't get a train ticket back home from sweden - i had no money left after shopping at monki. ;) love it.
edit: i do have to admit that 70% of the clothes are not my cup of tea, it's really hit & miss, but with gorgeaus hits as well. i found the best purse and the best bikini there, for example.

^they have more shops now. according to their app they have 2, according to the website 3 in germany.

they also have stores (according to the website) in:
denmark
china,
finland,
hong kong sar
netherlands,
norway,
uk
and sweden of course.

Their jeans are awesome, especially the Diane model. BUT they don't make them in size 26/34, only 27/34 (too big) or 26/32 (too short). Annoying!

monki, cos, weekday, cheap monday and & other stories all belong to the h&m group. there are 4 monki stores in china and the shop launched in 2006. the clothes are very playful, quirky and innovative but they still have fantastic basic pieces, which everyone can rock. they are very big on the OVERSIZE thing. everything is oversize.

I LOVE Monki theres one in London on Carnaby street..I love there basics jeans/tees etc they all all good quality. I think them a bit more street then the other h&m group stores so they often pick up some trends quicker. Id say its aimed a younger market then the others? Also they do jeans in half sizes ie 26/27/28 rather then just 26 or 28 which is perfect for me

I will be visiting CPH and the city has Monki stores.I think I will stock knits and jeans

The 100% viscose basic tees they have are amazing. l'm 5'5", with normal proportions , and they are the only tees that aren't longer than my torso or cling unattractively. I bought 10.

i was so excited to see this store in person, but i hated everything in sight...
...

oh well...

I knew it was owned by HM and they are cool high street brand of Scandinavia.I knew the brand so long time ago cause I only read Swedish bloggers and they all wear Monki.

when I was in Copenhagen previous month I hauled a lot of pieces from Monki, they have nice tops, knits, tights.
