I'm looking forward to seeing the collection but I really hope the quality is decent.

I hope this isn't horrible. Especially after Rodarte's lacking collection, I hope this makes up for it. Being Mulberry, I'm very interested. I seriously can't wait.

Mulberry For Target

MULBERRY has announced it is to design a high street diffusion line. The luxury label has teamed up with US retailer Target to launch a limited edition handbag collection.
Target recently joined forced with Zac Posen and Rodarte but are yet to release price points for its forthcoming collection.
"At this stage we aren't able to offer more details on the collection although we can confirm the collaboration is definitely going ahead," a Mulberry spokesperson told us.
Despite previously designing a diffusion line for high street store GAP, the brand has announced it has no plans to unveil any further high street collaborations in the UK this summer.
The Target Mulberry collaboration will be available in most stores and on Target.com from December 24.

Sounds quite interesting to me...

here is a picture of the roxanne bag that was in the mulberry for gap collection a few years ago. it was made of jersey. it cost 65 pounds.

i am hoping the new collection will be nylon or jersey.

What's the most expensive these Target lines have actually gone up to...? I wonder if leather bags are even a possibility..

the only leather bags were by isaac mizrahi for target.

most of the other designer bags have been PVC. anya hindmarch was nylon & pvc. and prices have topped out at 70$. liberty of london bags were cotton.

so i doubt they will be leather. sadly.

I was so excited when I heard about this yesterday. I can't wait till we get more details on thisB)

there will be a press preview in about two weeks. perhaps we will see an image then.

I feel like the lines are getting progressively more expensive; there were certainly some pricey pieces in the last few RTWs (Gaultier, Posen), and Gaultier had a leather jacket right? It could happen. :)

I'll definitely try to cop one of these. I still regret not getting a Devi Kroell!!

I have the JPG for target leather cropped jacket and the proenza schouler for target cropped suede jacket, they were both approx $150 so you never know, maybe they will make leather bags, the leather on my jacket's are actually very nice, I don't know if I'm going to wear the JPG, but I had to have it..for old times sake...JPG was my first designer piece of clothing many moons ago,

I just hope some of the designs are more unisex. I want to get in on the action too!

I'm quite excited to see what bags they are doing with Target. I have the Mulberry for Gap Roxanne bag in red. The colour is great but material is blah. The jersey material balled up with friction and wear. And it IS heavy...

apparently there will be 8 styles and some will be made out of denim and velvet.

from mulberry's press statement...

"The range comprises 8 handbag styles and aims to evoke the spirit of the brand, rather than a compromise on quality. The key to the collection is authenticity – communicating the essence and character of the Mulberry brand. Fabrics such as denim and velvet allow the brand to be as true to its beliefs as possible whilst maintaining an accessible and democratic price point"
