Must Have: Tabi Shoes

HI I'm new here (from the netherlands)
Well these are the shoes that are really hot at the moment in Holland.
They are called tabi shoes or just split toe shoes

The firts ones are from Irregular Choice
The other ones are from Okoloko

And i love them both

What do you think of the split toe shoes and are they also popular in your country/city?

well my textiles professor (a designer) has been wearing them way befor i graduated. so maybe around 1999?
im not quite sure but if i remember well they were HUSSEIN CHALAYAN.

i find them real ugly and we used to call her pigs feet...

sorry i dont wanna offend anyone who likes them thats just my opinion

actually i meant MARTIN MARGIELA and not HUSSEIN

One of my design teachers used to wear a cute orange pair.

I have seen those shoes in Schuh and the toe shape looks funny indeed.

A while ago, I wanted a pair of those split toe nikes... Nike Air Rifts.. like Leyla and Sugo up there ^^^^
I never got them because he made fun of them saying they looked like goat feet.

and yea.. I guess he's kinda right.. they do look like a hoof.

Irregular Choice have so many of these. I like theirs, but probably because they remind me of little hearts.

There was an AMAZING pair of tabi boots on the Office website this summer. Black canvas, knee-high, with a design on the side of the calf reminiscent of Hokusai's "The Great Wave at Kanagawa." They were so wonderful. I wish I had them.

The shoes that purple posted looked quite cute because the top looked like the top part of a heart and with the red and ribbon it ties it together quite well. Pun not intended of course. But the rest look a little camel-lish.
