Thoughts on this please. Didn't buy it (too scared) but bought very similar item, in grey with navy blue edging. Same cut and style. Fabric is amazing.

Thanks Faust. I am actually wondering if I should have gone with the green one, but it is quite striking and i didn't know if I would wear it as much as a safer colourway. Have you seen any of the AW comme stuff? I was at a preview at the Dover Street shop in London last week. The homme plus line looks good, but fairly "difficult". Some of the fabrics and construction methods are incredible, but quite difficult shapes, esp those MC Hammer trousers with the drop crotch! I also got a pair of washed out brown cords, fairly wide legged and low waisted. I tried on the Watanabe jackets but as I suspected, they just look strange, Really nice jackets and tailoring, but why are the sleeves short!? The brocade ones are nice, but very very expensive - around £1300 for the jacket alone. The Junya trousers are, I would say, unwearable.

I really like it!!

Just curious... why were you too scared to buy the green but not the navy?

johnny...i'm confused...was yours also plaid?...
i definitely like it and much more so in your colour combo...
i love a man in a cardigan...
it's slightly dorky/professorial...which makes you look smart...imo...
which is attractive...imo...

do you also wear glasses?...that would just be excellent!!! :P :flower:

I didn't see anything yet. I'm waiting until the stores are fully stocked to do the fall preview B) . I've seen some AW pieces while shopping the summer sales, but nothing by CDG/JW.

The green on is quite "bright" for want of a better word, and in particular the embroidered pink is v bright. It looked good in the shop and the sales assistant wanted me to get it, but I just thought it was a bit too striking for me to feel comfortable wearing. The one I have is mid grey coloured. It's not plaid but it sort of looks like there are uniform "gaps" in the outer fabric showing white spots. The weave is double faced, with white on the inside and grey on the outside, but you only see the gaps at the points where it stretches. The embroidered border on mine is navy and white. It is, as you can see, quite difficult to desribe!

Anyway thanks for you comments. By the way softgrey, my wife said I looked like a boho academic with it on, which I like, and took as a compliment! It's funny, her comments were similar to yours. I don't mind looking like a geek. I don't wear glasses though (although stupidly I've always wanted to  ).

well johnny...sounds like your wife and i have similar taste in menswear...which makes sense since we have such similar taste in womenswear... :D :D

Indeedy!

I love it in either color. Never be afraid to be bright! It's fun to be seen sometimes.
