In 1968 Cristobal Balenciaga left his own Fashion house. From that point on the house of Balenciaga was not know, until Nicolas Ghesquiere put back on the map. Even though people are not satisfied with his creations, we have to appreciate the fact that hes kept the spirit of Balenciaga a live. The idea that every piece is not supposed to represent beautiful, but structure and that its wearable and functional.

All Nicolas Ghesquiere has done is modernize a Balenciaga and add his own touch to a Name that is known throughout the world.
