Alessandro Michele - Designer, Creative Director of Valentino

He's officially on sick leave, which actually means "I don't know how to tell shareholders I quit or I got laid off so I am taking time to elaborate a proper excuse"...
The biggest plot twist ever would be to have Lallo out and get replaced by...SABATO, who was right hand of Pierpaolo at Valentino, who is currently at Balenciaga...both brands owned by Kering...oh the headache!"
I'm not sorry for Lallo though: he has always been the definition of "one trick pony": terribly overrated and chanted as the second coming..

That apartment is gorgeous, if only his collection were as rich and interesting.
It's not ugly. Just dusty. The dead people portraits are creepy too.

Idk I just can't understand it. It seems suffocating. And I'm not a minimal guy, but it's all so uniformly old. Lol

It´s just one step short of becoming a branch of the The Warrens' Occult Museum.

^The only curse here is the one of tackiness that he seems to have thrown over the house of Valentino.

I cannot believe it went down so fast. I guess they’re trying to avoid ending like Gucci did with Ancona boy. Betting on the wrong horse can be lethal in this economy.

BTW Congratulations Lola, I wish you a very happy motherhood!

Well this is exactly the house that I expect from someone living a Valentino lifestyle. Garavani’s home is sort like this, so why expect a minimal house?!
The small but BIG difference is Valentino (the man) has contemporary art and even furniture with an eye for harmony and balance or a theme in a classic mixed interior (depending on which house/apartment and country) whereas Alessandro is art and furniture are antique mostly upon antique decades and styles mixed without regard to balance nor harmony of periods and total rejection of 20th century and beyond.

Its really not the same type of person even if there is overlapping most clients live like Valentino internationally than Alessandro ( very roman country house shabby antique relic style ) there is difference in a maximalist rich interior and a eclectic flea market interior.1vnyc .jpeg2v.jpeg5f44d-valentino-0408-10-1.webp9a5641dad9b98967_item2.rendition.slideshowWideVertical.valentino-garavani-06.webpA8680-Valentino-House-10-Facts-through-Architects-Lens-Image-2.webparchival-valentino-homes-vogue-03.webparchival-valentino-homes-vogue-051.webparchival-valentino-homes-vogue-041.webparchival-valentino-homes-vogue-011.webpVal 01.jpgw=1040__images.ctfassets.net_7dc7gq8ix1ml_6Vqs47HcyHZ0djEIiPWFOo_eb649c752d4ea0c3d99b8075ab166...jpg

Garavani's interiors appear to be more organised and intentional as well, while Michele's seem like a symptom of horror vacui. Funny enough, when Valentino presented their first collection back in 1959, a major point of criticism was that he put way too many ideas into one collection. He applied that criticism to his following collections.
