My reaction first was WTF?!? Now I'm not quite sure what to think. It's all a bit too much. And this 80's thing is WAY out of control, Maybe its because i was born in the 90's and I have a hard time apreciating it but then again, i don't mind things from the 40's lol. The 80's shoulders are not flattering it needs to stop.

THE END!

Overall i dont like the collection, it is nothing new innovative or beautiful, liked few pieces only.

Im actually loving this to death. I love the fetish-ness and the severness of the sexuality in the clothes.

The shoes are just so powerful, both symbolically and physically.

Ok, those shoes just throw the whole collection off!! They're hideous, what the hell was he thinking!?!
However, imagining the collection without those shoes, I really don't think its THAT bad...yes its ridiculously different to what we expected...but some of the pieces are great...but then again some are awful.
What a day!

This doesn't really make much sense to me . ?

It doesn't exactly seem inspired, or if it is - not from any similar sort of source.
Some pieces are okay.
Nothing I'm delighted with.

at second look, 45% bad pieces, 55% woaoaoooowww:shifty:
so the main is stunning imo

Ummm...definitely not what I was expecting...It's a bit like Zac Posen of Paris and it saddens me to bring Olivier down to that level but this is a kitchen sink mess...:ninja: There are some gems here and there (the sheer pieces), but completely lost in this 80's, scifi atrocity

^ That dress looks like the moody younger sister of Dior HC F/W 08.

I'm trying to figure out if I would be as offended by this if it was from another designer. I mean, the clothes are ridiculous for the most part, and it's not the best or most entertaining take on the 80s redux I've seen, but most of my dislike of this comes from the fact that it couldn't be less Olivier Theyskens.

The colors, the shapes, the embellishment...it's all foreign territory from him, and it's not territory that I can honestly say I'm interested in seeing him explore.

Those glitter magenta shoe things are VILE.

And Olivier doing the eighties is not something I ever wanted to see.

WE'LL MISS YOU, OLIVIER!! (Although I don't like this collection).

It looks like the romance turned into monkey sex.

I'm inclined to like this because it isn't boring.
Says something about fashion weeks doesn't it.
It's fun though. Not avant-garde, not provoking, but fun - maybe not what "Nina Ricci" should be all about, but judged on its own merits it's a fun collection that doesn't take itself too serious

Oh  Oliver why?
This is probably the hugest fashion dissapointment for me going from my fav designer. I'm sad, kinda in shock. Sick.

I really do not see why people are complaining...I really don't. Everyone's using these incredible adjectives and concluding that they form something negative. Unsettling, earthquaking, shocking, fierce, strong, porwerful, bizarre: it's friggin fashion!! Finally :buzz:

FINALLY he is moving away from the sweet, fairytale like, Autumn colored injection of romance and is producing something new, alive, exciting and discussion-worthy. I am in love with this. The Mugler references are insane...complete with Westwood inspired Naomi-fell-down-in-'em-back-in-THE-days shoes. Screw the eighties...this is three decades of fashion pumped into one show getting ready for a fourth decade. That look on Anabela is absolutely perfect...it's a vision from an era many of us long to see return (at least the atmosphere, not necessarily the same styles) and to see it happening at a Theyskens show? Wow, that was unexpected. I LOVE fashion....

Wow... this collection is strong, better than the pretentious romance of his latest collections.
