After having lurked awhile, I also unexpectedly debut in the nudity thread ...

And I do it to say that i think extramax has a point.

His point is that the industry must be careful of how it fares with the young women growing up within it. Even though I completely agree with all arguments about how beautiful Gemma is, and how her beauty type is a beacon for the not-page-3-type women and all tackiness associated with that, you must be able to agree that even though it is fully possible for a grown woman to have a body like Gemmas in the "slip-pic" (thats she has developed beyond it nowadays is beside the point), that body+face look is also common for ten-yearolds.

And a pedophile is more than happy "enjoy" photos of tenyearolds in too revealing tops.

And the people backstage, ie the designer, should be aware of the risk of sick people using runway pix like this for entirely other purpouses than fashion. If they aren't, thats sad. More likely, the thought crossed their mind and they ignored it, which is bad - and worst case scenario, the thought caught on and Gemmas very young-looking appearance was exploited in order to cater to some very low traits of the human psyche. That is outright sick.

I think it is a valid discussion and I was sad to see it resort to namecalling and suchlike. Then again, this forum doesn't seem to be too interested in exchange of countering opinions, judging from the majority of the threads.

The fashion industry is the only industry in the world that can use underage young girls and boys...work them overtime hours expose them to dangerous situations, photograph them fully unclothed and pay them and everyone else around them enough money to keep their mouth shut and get away with it. They can even convince the people responsible for these kids (their parents)that there is nothing wrong with this scene.

Guys, I am posting a warning for this thread. Keep it as nice as possible, which means no requests for certain nude models, this is not a p*rn archive.

since when do any of these models do p*rn?

none of this is p*rn...it's art... :winkiss: :flower:

It might not be p*rn.. but you have to admit that that situation is kind of iffy... lets say some guy wants naked model pictures for whatever.. ( ).. and the notion he can just go on the fashionspot and request naked pictures of "X" is.. well thats not the point of the fashionspot... and yes I'm aware the poster was femme..

I agree with what your saying, but my mom raised me to find absolutely nothing 'wrong' with being nude. Nor would she be embarassed or offended if I were photographed without clothes.

I only agree there is something wrong with 'the scene' if the model was truely against photographed nude. I have a problem believing that girls (or boys) would be so submissive and feel forced to be photographed in anyway. I know it happens. But I know for a fact that my bookers want to make sure Im super comfy with everything that comes my way.

I never said there was anything wrong with being nude...the key word was

'UNDERAGE' and you and I both now that that age group makes up the majority of the 'model pool' right now.

Just to be fair, in Europe I do believe there's nothing against underage girls/boys posing without clothes.

And when I first started modeling in NYC when I was 14, photographers were very preoccupied with making sure nothing was showing.

I guess Im just trying to say, there isn't that much pressure.

Excuse me but in France it is 'suppose' to be against the law for anyone under the age of 16 to even work but two days a week and a report has to be filed as to what that job might be.... but the fashion industry is able to skirt that issue by waxing the wheels with cash.

Ali was asked to pose nude or take her top off for many photographers and she lost the xtra days in a campaign she did because she was not willing to do this. Si I guess the story is different for everyone. No?

Gisele on Nudity in modeling:

-"While her model contemporaries NAOMI CAMPBELL and KATE MOSS are happy to show off their bare breasts on camera, the shy Brazilian will only wear bikinis and underwear.

Bundchen says, "I would never be naked in a film. I would never be naked in a fashion picture.

"Kate Moss can take her clothes off no problem. Most girls have no problem with it.

"To me, it's different. I think there are some things you should keep to yourself. I have a contract with VICTORIA'S SECRET. They've had already seen me in lingerie for God's sake. If someone should see me naked, it's my boyfriend."

Um... evidence to the contrary?

Her breasts are barely covered. Plus in that Rolling Stone interview I quoted a few pages ago she said she never wears transparent tops.

bodyofwork04.jpg

I'm not seeing any baithing suits or underwear in either of these.
I thinks she means she won't pose full frontal, absolutely nude.

you never see gisele in Brazil in

3ª MORUMBIFASHION BRASIL
Fall - 1997/98
17 to 23 july1997.

http://chic.ig.com.br/site/secao.php?secao_id=2&materia_id=2279

at this time she had the same body(boobs), and used amazing transparent clothes in MORUMBIFASHION BRASIL.

I am brazilian, i have some this shows in VHS, i watch in GNT Fashion.

^ This is off topic but Gisele looks so earthly with her dark hair.

Now on topic, I don't see what the big deal in America with nudity. I mean I think we should think the human body is beautiful.
