Not really...I remember me using the term haters and you starting a discussion around that, leading the discussion away from Catherine. Which is exactly what happened now. The thing is that I am fine with people disliking Cat or anyone else for that matter...but the way that people can describe their dislike or unleash complete bs on them is beyond me. When someone says that a model sucks because she takes away opportunities from other models and doesn't deserve it, then that is total bs. What has she done to you that she doesn't deserve it? We don't know her personally, so how can we say she doesn't deserve something? I mean, we can't hate her because we don't know her either, right?

She was Testino exclusive, not Meisel

And her exclusive contrat might have allowed her to book some jobs Mario was shooting, but she's worked with numerous other photographers since then, so they must see something in her!

And btw I think Catherine gets so booked because she embodies the supermodels from the 90s, a difference from the bland and alien looking models that are owning the runways these days. A breath of fresh air for most designers and photographers.

Where did I say that anything was of-topic Of course you can express your opinion, that is what a forum is about...I'm not saying you cannot express it am I? I am stating I do not agree and then you state you don't agree with me. That is fine. My opinion is that some of your reasoning is BS and your opinion is that she can't model. I've just seen it in a bookstore this evening. It was very quick though and I had many different mags in hand... There's Karlie Kloss inside this issue and I'm not sure but I think another one is Elsa Sylvan. Not sure at all for her, I may have seen her in another mag and got confused...

Elsa has new pics in her book that look like they'd be from Numero indeed. Perhaps someone in possession of the mag could take a look and confirm/deny?

Just like I feel/felt about your comments. You sum it up nicely. Although the BS I've read from you doesn't translate into an opinion but rather contradiction that has nothing to do with Catherine or my opinions about her modeling work.

In the terms of modeling (as far as I know and what I've been talking about all this time) she doesn't deserve the work she gets because she sucks at it. 1) First you mention her personality as being irrelevant to her modeling and 2) then you bring up her personality as an issue to why she deserves the work, make up your mind dude.

and if you look at other threads in the magazine section, then you'll see
that you always have to search for scans because most pages are without them and only full of discussion about the cover for example

I agree with that... McNeil isn't at her very best here, I think she deserves more as a 50-50 cover and ed, she needs a total make-over, something that shows clearly she's not just that 'supermodel copy' but also a model of her own time, a model fitting today's vision bringing something rather new and personal... again that's my own point... and it doesn't really match the overall topic of this thread which remains Numéro 92. I've been hugely disappointed by almost every recent issues. I used to love this mag, it used to be thrilling. Now it just seems to be a mag using always the same bunch of models, not bringing any new face or any refreshing idea. This issue doesn't impress me much either. Still have hopes for the next ones. Not too much though. Want some Martha Streck for example or some Eugenia Vidal the kind of models that could bring something fresh and forward to this mag... Karlie's ed is kind of nice though... and another did also appeal to me. But still that's not really enough

Don't have a scanner, but will try and post snapshots. These are the models who have eds: Meghan, Catherine, Karlie, Elsa S, Ali Stephens, Anja, Vlada, and one unknown who looks like a cross between Anne V and Bette.
