Number (N)ine F/W 06.07 Paris

First of all... the guy is wearing an Alexander McQueen skull scarf... which is way too commercial for someone like Takahiro to wear...

Secondly, It says that his name is Yukata...

The Number (N)ine designer team is mentioned, but only something about Jun and Ann having dinner with them at a restaurant in Roppongi.

.. But it is cool that Ann knows Jun and Takahiro... I would never have thought that.

YES! Finally saw a photo of Takahiro Miyashita in today Jun Takahashi's blog. Anyone who seen the designer before please verifly.[/URL]

That is Taka in the middle.

Baizilla, it clearly says his full name - MIYASHITA Takahiro - not Yukata

wow then clearly my mistake.. :( I'm so sad at reading

He looks... not what i've expected him to look like...

Well good to know..

thanks for the heads up, supremes

We got the first shipment of NN jackets here in Hong Kong and they are mostly blazers with embroidered details on them... and they were all over 9000HKD (1150USD)... so not to impressed...

however, some of the jackets in the show look awesome... cant wait for them to arrive... though i would imagine they would be closer to 1500USD.. cant afford them but would be nice to try it on and dream...

Thanks, Monty. I'll be waiting for more news on this :p (*cough* take photos in the dressing room?)
I have been really wondering how this collection would turn out in stores, particularly the jackets and coats.

It's nice. Superb fabrics, but the cuts are a little strange. Too much padding on the shoulders.

i would totally take pictures but i think the sales person will wonder why i am trying on a jacket or coat in a dressing room...

Faust: Have you seen this coat in person.. is it at nice as it looks? Or does it also have issues with the shoulders?

went to the Ebisu store one week after the collection arrived and of course nearly everything was gone already. like always -.- ... in japan it´s nearly impossible to get anything, cause all the stupid countryside-boys make line in front of the store the night before they get new stuff. then they buy everything without any idea and leave an empty store for the next 6 month. aaaanyway, they still had some things left. gorgeous overprized boots, gorgeous overprized leather jackets, pants not so nice and shirts a little too simple for that price, all in all Number(N)ine the way it looks like every single season. but i like it anyway, so I just bought a skull necklace. oh yeah, and one sale staff actually smiled!! can u believe it?!?? friendly Number(N)ine-staff~~ i felt like fainting(^-^)

^ hehe.. great description..

The reviews so far sound promising.. can't wait to see for myself in two days :woot:

We received our Fall N(N) stock a few weeks ago and the majority of it is jackets and coats. We ordered a few button up shirts that feature skull pins through the collar, the requisite N(N) t-shirt that will most likely be stolen (shoplifters have good taste) a cardigan and jumper in beautiful wool that have large vertical cuts on the front (cardi) and back (jumper) that are roughly sewn together with yarn. Very Nightmare Before Christmas, very nice, the same skinny black "Pain" jeans they've done before, black wool trousers with a perforated leather tuxedo stripe (£475! for trousers!) and etc. The quality is, as previously stated, wonderful, however all, and I do mean ALL of the jackets and coats we ordered (I think about 6 in total) have the most wretched large black suede four leaf clover roughly stitched on each elbow. It's horrible. All the coats have proven to be quite popular, particularly the short double breasted one with round metal buttons, until customers see the back and then the sale's off. Even the price isn't a deterrent (they range from £600-£1200) but those damn clovers foil me every time.

where do you work, if you don't mind me asking (The Library)? Yea, I wasn't too keen on the clover either, but I know some people that liked and bought it.

I work at Liberty. It's not that I have a problem with the clover in and of itself, just the placement of the clover on a beautifully tailored, clean, sharp overcoat. It just ruins it, I find. We have two types of customer who browse N(N). The proper Japanese Fashion customer who is in love with the label and has the money to spend, but choses to spend it at Dover Street instead because we don't carry small enough sizes or a big enough selection. Or, the middle aged slightly with it English gent who recognizes beautiful quality and precision cutting and who also has the money to spend, but is put off by fashiony details. I fear these coats will suffer the same fate as last seasons overcoats that are still hanging around even after a month at 50% off.
