Nylon August 2007 : Nicole Richie

Not an attractive cover...
But I think Nicole Richie is better than Sienna Miller.

I'm glad to see her on the cover and i like how she speaks about herself. I appreciate she admits the fact that shes not famous for a big thing and she seems to be a little more realistic about her celebrity status than the others Hollywood girls ...

About the cover .. I kinda like it but i'd love to see a HQ bc thats true she looks a bit of a dead person BUT maybe it doesnt looks like that in HQ.. At least lets hope.. Cant wait to see the shoot =)

Its refreshing to see someone being honest, but that quote was so unccessary to put on the cover, other than that its a nice cover.................

I like Nicole..She is hilarious..at least its not that Cory Kennedy girl

You know, the only good news I can come up with is that, with all the Hollywood starlets they featured on cover, they WILL run out of them sooner or later.

Well, I don't really mind Nicole because I think she's hilarious. Better her than Paris or Sienna. But as some said earlier, I've given up hope of Nylon ever being "original", "alternative", and "underground" or whatever. I haven't bought Nylon in a year now, and I've gotten to know some other unique fashion magazines since then.

Nylon is killing me here.

This time last year, they had a Lydia Hearst cover. Admittedly, Lydia Hearst doesn't seem entirely cover-worthy to me, but the pictures were gorgeous and she seemed to have nothing to say. Nicole meanwhile looks like she's an underdeveloped preteen trying to do her best Paris impression in front of a web cam for her myspace, and the tent-shaped 'down with the kids' graffiti shirt is not doing much for her either. Yeah, the quote is pretty good, but Nylon's been going pretty steadily downhill for me (only last month's issue was awesome, and I am proud to be from the same small crappy Canadian suburb as Tokyo Police Club!) and it's making me sad. Next thing you know it will be Loveleigh or what not from the Misshapes and I will find myself picking up an Us Weekly.

That being said, I completely agree with Luxx, that font is sweet.

goodbye Nylon-

you are officially dead and buried for me.

(not that you were anywhere near decent this year either...ever since that cory rat; and then horribly tacky celebrities.. :hardhead: )

I'm disappointed .. Nylon just keeps getting worse and worse. The only thing that keeps me reading it is the bit of inconsistency they have, the few decent issues every once in a while. Although, with this issue I'm not as disappointed as I have been before. Nicole Richie beats Lindsay Lohan ANY day. And the article on Nicole could be alright .. most likely not interesting, but maybe I'll get a laugh out of it. Sooner or later they're going to need to redeem theirselves though ..

Neither for me... I wish that they dissapeared from the public's eyes. Hate Nicole and I hate the cover too.
