The appeal of Blair Waldorf though lies in her vulnerability and her insecurity underneath her bitchiness, and how she is so flawed because she just 'goes for it' because she's still quite immature (and uh, a teenager).
Whereas Olivia doesn't have that same level of vulnerability... at least I haven't seen it yet, and I can't see Olivia breaking down on TV or having a fight with mummy anytime soon.
The only similarity in their personal style is that they're both very 'done up' and maybe the curls, but that's about it. She's not really a Blair at all...
Oh Cicciolina i know, and i agree!

Blair Waldorf (and Leigton) is pretty much my favourite TV caracter/actress for a long time..
When i say Blair Waldorf personality i mean the superficial parts of Blair (not the parts which you very eloquently put; of depth and vulnerability)...
it's my guilty pleasure to enjoy seeing Olivia be a conniving, 2 faced, superficial b*tch... i don't empathise with her in a way that i would empathise with Blair...but the snarkiness and gorgeous exterior B).
it's also ironic/funny because in real life Olivia is no queen B by any means, she's more the rejected Jenny Humphrey caracter..
tbh though, i love Blair much more than either Whitney Port or Olivia... though Olivia is pretty enough to remind me of Blair...and her background interesting enough to be entertaining/voyeuristic
