Olivia Palermo

Every time I see an interview of her, I cringe!
She seems so forced and even fake!

I really wouldn't fashion advice from her. I'd end up wearing neon pink pants with leopard print shoes. Oh, and a bright green clutch. Innovative.

omg so hilarious is piperlime really for real
They need to hire another gurl for the job like asap
girlfriend sounds like this mean bitc* from high school trying to sell you cheap stuff
and the way her lips moves plus the fake smile at the end rofl
Pure pricelessness

I had to stop watching that video out of second-hand embarrassment. Olivia's beauty is causing people to want more of her than what she is capable. They want her to be a great model and spokesperson but she isn't. Nothing about her is natural. Her mouth moves so awkwardly when she speaks and I found it distracting.

You make a valid point; I think people do tend to expect certain things from her that, at the end of the day, she just may not be capable of. She is stunning, and her style was flawless for years. It is a shame she seems to lack the personality/appeal to really make something of it.

I agree with the above posters, particularly themightlysloane. Honestly, I find Olivia just generally kind of a dim girl. She comes off as very haughty and cold which goes a long way for obscuring a mere lack of wits. She doesn't have a positive presence whatsoever. She's so lovely to look at but as a marketing personality she makes me wince.

Even in motion in that dancing video, she still looks so self conscious. That interview says she noticibely relaxes when Johannes about, but she doesn't seem relaxed at all.

And that Piperlime one, with each passing second of hearing her speak, a little bit of me died inside. Talk about cringe; it's like she can't think of anything to say about any of it, it doesn't flow and it's so disengaging.

BEAUTY BOARD
Olivia Palermo is known on the fashion circuit for her keen sense of style. And when it comes to beauty, Palermo is just as chic and displays an effortless glamour that is equal parts sophisticated and casual. With her perfectly sun-kissed skin, ranging shades—and lengths—of chestnut hair, and large, deep-set brown eyes, she opts for beauty staples like the smoky eye, nude lip, and a simple updo. Palermo tells us she’s inspired by classic Old Hollywood films—and her look is undoubtedly influenced by the elegance of their leading ladies. —Sarah Howard

BOBBI BROWN
1. “I'm a big fan of SK-II's skin products,” says Palermo, who is partial to the brand’s Facial Treatment Mask ($125, bloomingdales.com) and Facial Treatment Cleanser ($70, blissworld.com).

2. “My hairstylist, Andre Davis, got me hooked on Julien Farel’s hair-care line.” We love the Vitamin products: Shampoo ($23, julien-farel-products-internati.hostedbyamazon.com), and Restore ($33, julien-farel-products-internati.hostedbyamazon.com).

3. “My friend Ulli Saeuberlich started an organic company called Vitacare , and its toothpaste keeps me happy and smiling.” ($6, vitacareworld.com)

4. And her favorite music to listen to while getting ready? “A little bit of everything, from house music, Coldplay, the Black Eyed Peas, Hans Zimmer, and R&B!” (“Clocks,” by Coldplay, $0.69, itunes.apple.com) and (“Just Can’t Get Enough,” by the Black Eyed Peas, $0.99, itunes.apple.com)

5. “It's always nice to watch classic movies like Funny Face ($7, amazon.com) and High Society ($15, amazon.com) or flip through the pages of Italian Vogue ($78, abbonamenti.it) for endless inspiration.”

6. Palermo also gets her beauty inspiration from the runways. “[I love] to see Bobbi Brown’s team create a fresh-faced look on Tibi's runway each season,” she tells us. To re-create the Tibi fall 2012 runway face, try Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer ( $22, bobbibrowncosmetics.com), which Brown refers to as “the secret of the universe,” and the Dark Brow Kit ($45, bobbibrowncosmetics.com),for those “full and dramatic” brows.

has this been posted?? they're both pretty to look at but they come off really awkward..

"We met through mutual friends, actually... they're still dear friends..." But of course. Nobody expected you to drop them right after introducing you to your boyfriend!

So awkward from the very first sentence.

I get this feeling they're just using each other. Like the relationship is one big fake thing -- "Hey, Johann, you look good on camera. Want to be my arm candy?" "Sure, Olivia. Call the paps! We'll take the train into West Village from Brooklyn."

omg that was sooooo hilarious and cringe inducing. Olivia, dear, please rehearse the story of how you met your boyfriend if its not the truth, the words couldnt look any more fake, like she doesnt even believe them herself. gah!

Im trying to find a way to say i think he is gay, but i cant word it subtly. lol. I think they are using each other - but thats fine bc it gives her a cute model bf and she doesnt really strike me as the type to be that bothered by guys anyway. I think she is just concentrating on her career.

IMO she thinks she's the "new" Audrey Hepburn...When she's not at all, audrey was a sweetheart, and much more, Olivia is fake. (Pretty to look at, but there's nothing about her personality that I like or better say, that I don't dislike...).

Like the make up there^^
But she's just the worst model, that dancing in the park video/shoot was another shining example of that fact, and she's getting more opportunities but her modelling isn't improving :S

It's interesting that Olivia has never covered a major magazine here in the U.S. and probably never will. She is just not that well-known here outside of fashion circles and lacks the talent and likeability factor to sell covers. Abroad it seems the standard for cover-worthy stars is lower.
