Once Upon A Time

Here are the sneak peeks for tonight's ep..less than 2 hours away!

LOVE how mother-ish Snow is being in these! Although Emma needs to start listening to her mom! :)

Tonight's episode was great. There were a lot of great moments in it.

-Jefferson reunited with his daughter Grace.
-Lancelot was killed by Cora years ago.
-King George cursed Snow with a potion that made her infertile.
-Charming's mother died from a poison arrow to/near the heart.

Next week's episode...

Ugh...that Cora! I wonder what's she been up to for the past 30+ years? I guess just sitting in limbo.

I still can't stop looking at Ginnifer as Snow. She's so beautiful with long hair.

Here are the sneak peeks for tomorrow's ep! Don't know why but three of these repeat the last shot a few times.

Hook is only a real presence in one of these so I think they're saving most of him for the actual ep. He looks like a great addition to the show!

I might die of happiness if Hook and Aurora have interaction because I loved the actors together in the Tudors.

Oh, I loved the Captain Hook story! It was so, so good. I hope we see him again.

I've been wondering about Dr Whale too. I think maybe with the god complex he could be Frankenstein. Although that doesn't seem like a character that fits into fairytales/folklore.

I guess the best clue would be in the name 'Whale' but I can't think what that might relate to.

Judging by the new promo for next week and the comments on the youtube video, you maybe right!

Glad this was a good episode, can't wait to get back from work to watch it.

The Captain Hook story line was so good. Loved this episode! ^_^

I saw the preview for Episode 5. It is titled "The Doctor".
In the preview Regina says, "What did you do to him?!... You have created a monster!". Immediately I thought of Frankenstein. It seemed to me that Doctor Whale is Doctor Frankenstein!

My thoughts on Dr.Whale - Though I understand both theories surrounding the whale from Pinocchio or Moby Dick, I don't think he can be either. He was a doctor in Storybrooke before anyone knew who they were. I think he still has to be someone who was a doctor in the fairytale world, which backs up the Frankenstein idea. It also explains the God complex as Josephine pointed out.

I apparently shouldn't have posted until I was done brain-storming as it is now too late to edit my previous post... So sorry for making two in a row.

I think the surname of 'Whale' was used because the man who directed the 1931 movie of "Frankenstein" (based on the novel by Mary Shelley) name was "James Whale". That would explain the last name.

Dr. Whale must be Frankenstein. I have myself convinced.

Captain Hook was hot. I'm so glad he'll be a series regular.

Judging by the promo for next week that is a really clever way to use the Frankenstein story by building on the previous Regina/Daniel storyline (if I've correctly guessed where the promo is going).

^I know right? Captain Hook was extreamly good looking. :crush: And now that he's off to Neverland I wonder who will be playing Peter Pan? And I hope that they have Wendy and the Lost Boys as well! I was really pleased with this episode, it was really interesting and I sort of sympathized with Captain Hook (but maybe it was his good looks getting in the way?). I like how the writers of OUAT tend to write complex characters.

And as for next weeks storyline, if Doctor Whale is Frankenstein then I wonder who his monster is? Maybe he's connected to Rumple somehow? It just seems like everyone has some sort of connection to him. And it looks like he's connected to Regina too. This could be a really interesting storyline, can't wait to see what they do with it!

Another great episode in Rumple's storyline.

I don't know why Hook is in the picture when the episode is clearly about Frankenstein.

^Yes, they find him. Looks like he's pretending to be the only survivor but maybe Emma's lie detector nose will set off and that's why they tie him up.

Hook was GREAT-- a fabulous addition to the cast, and a great origin story for him. Rumple being "the Crocodile" was a nice twist. It's also good that we got an explanation for the fact that Hook hasn't aged since losing his hand--he went to Neverland. I guess we'll have to wait and see how he made it back the the FairyTale world--not liking that he's in cohoots with Cora, though. And it was strange to have a whole ep without Snow, Emma, and Regina.

As for Whale, yep it looks like he's Frankenstein. I guess that could be good if done well, but I hope the writers don't stray too far from the fairytales the show was originally based on--there's still plenty of those we haven't seen.

Anyway, here's a Hook character vid I made for his ep that just aired. Enjoy it!
