i was just wondering (i hope this hasn't been asked before), how do the prices online compare with the prices in flagship boutiques? e.g. are prices at neimanmarcus.com a lot higher for prada shoes than in the flaghsip in milan? what's the difference in price between dior homme in paris and the dior boutique on eluxury.com?

^ the prices at american stores such as neiman marcus and eluxury are going to be different from the prices at european boutiques because they often factor in the costs to import the merchandise into the united states. if you are foreigner and you buy from the e.u...as long as customs doesn't catch you on it, you can sometimes get it at a slightly lower price because you are eligible for a VAT refund (just ask for a receipt from the store). on the other hand though, if you are purchasing from those boutiques over the phone, you may be charged not only duties from customs, but also a high shipping cost.

I also love ebay and have had no problems with being ripped off. Paypal offers alot of protection to ebay buyers and it is possible to claw your money back. I have had a few friends who have done that.
