Opaque Black Tights F/W 06.07

I was considering getting the Spanx tights after I saw them in an editorial recently, but are they really comfortable? I mean I know their whole purpose is body shaping so are they too tight at the top?

The ones I have come up just under my bellybutton and they're actually really comfortable. The waistband isn't binding at all (it's lightweight) and it doesn't pinch you in even though they are essentially "control top". I have no idea how the full Spanx are in terms of comfort, but the tights are definitely worth a try.

I think opaque thighs are a classic as many things that pop up as trends these days.

of course its a classic but the last two winters its been like a huge trend, while worn by girls which usually go thin bare tights or even no tights.. thats the whole difference.

got four new 40 denier aready, i'll go to 60 when it gets colder..

my fave' opaques are bic, nothing special, but they 'hold' well

Agreed, but my posts are getting a little bit more pointless since it's 1:30 AM where I live .

I'm still in search of the best opaques...I find the 60 deniers most flattering. I like my opaques thick and dark.

I'm not sure whether I see any point in buying expensive tights like Wolford, because of the quick speed I get holes in them. Is the quality in those so good that they last longer?

I love opague tights because they are like a winter staple for me...
But my issue is that, my legs are extremely curvey....
my ankles are tiny and I have like runner legs....so the tights are really dark at the bottom and awkwardly light on my calves

Any recommendation to that? Black is supposed to be the most slimming but white somehow turns out to be the most flattering on me. But not everything could be worn with white..

I have tried even up to 120 denier and wolford...
I don't know, should I size up? But when I size up, the tights sag on weird places...like ankles and knees..

So the uneven color and texture are the issue here...

Please enlighten me!

oh, i love blk opaque tights! i'm wearing mine like all the time now, and i pair them with everything....white skirts, sweaterdresses, etc. it's lovely. I'm usually buying them at h&m - they don't last particularly long, but they look good, and i have a reason to buy new ones on a regular basis and it always feels "new" again, if you know what i mean....

are the 60 den tights only "heavier" than the 40 den ones or are they less see through? at H&M I found 40 den opaque ones, 40 den ones and 60 den ones. Which of them are the best?

60 den are denser than 40. 20 den is quite sheer. I'm loving Wolford Velvet Luxe 66. They last forever.

I think the Satin De Luxe Tights from wolford will be a huge trend this year. they are opague and very shiny. also, ribbed merino tights in anthracite and black are going to be big sellers.

I love wearing 'em! In addition to opaque tights, I have black floral lace tights. Now, I'm in search of brown and magneta, textured tights for this fall and to match my wardrobe.
