Open-toe Boots

Okay... those (Post #101) aren't bad. Maybe it's certain cutout open-toe boots that I've liked. Still, I'm far from the "like" stage of these shoes. But those aren't bad to me. I'd say "yay" to those if this was "Shoes: Yay or Nay?"

I really  these for £85.00 from Office. The colour is even better in real life - like an electric blue and I'm really into the fringes too. (pic from Office website)

I like them. But I don't hope people are going to wear them over socks or stockings.

I would have said that I've finally seen a pair of open-toe boots that I actually absolutely love for once. But there's one problem that keeps me from completely falling in love with them. See if you can find it from images in this link:

Give up? The answer is- there's a skull design on it. I hate skulls, sick of skulls... never liked and never worn ANYTHING with any kind of skull design. Had it been just some average zipper design (or maybe something more tolerable, like a heart, for example), I'd really say this is a fantastic pair of open-toe boots. These boots feel more like pumps when unzipped (and bear in mind that I have fondness for cuffed ankle boots). Again... I love these, but even more so if they didn't have that damned skull zipper. If that skull is a trademark like red soles are on traditional Louboutin shoes, then maybe I'll ease up on it.

But still, no open-toe boots I've seriously fallen in love with and wishes all open-toe boots were like it. So for these... close, but not quite.

[UPDATE] As far as wearing socks or stockings with these, that's been a look I've seen in some pictures. You can actually get away with socks/stockings plus open-toe boots. Only as long as they match. Otherwise, it's trying to hard (or what most other people call fashionable or chic).

Personally I like the open toe boots look, but not so sure whether I like them with socks the same colour, it looks a bit too 'blended'. If I was going to wear open toe boots I'd want to show off that they were open toe boots.

John M - I completely disagree with you that it's too 'try hard'. Why is not wanting to be all matchy matchy trying too hard?

Justine - I love the picture you posted! I want them, I want them! :D

i love them and bought my wife about 10 pairs. Not 10 styles because 2 or 3 are in multiple colors. They do get attention.

i hate this trend because it's so rainy/snowy here all the time and there are so many beautiful shoes out there that i would buy and wear.... if only they had a toe....

She wears them inside. We went to a New Year's weekend party at a hotel. A bunch of us went out to dinner so she only walked about 10 yards to the car and 20 feet from the car to a restaurant. These BCBGirls and BCBgeneration ones are wide enough to tuck skinny jeans in and they come just abouve the ankle. She also took knee-high stockings and cut the toe out and wore them.

I have the coolest open toe boots that I bought in australia last November. They aren't winter boots so they work well in the in-between times, like spring and fall. I love this trend, I think it's really cute. Not on PROPER winter boots though, that I just find strange looking, and like others have already mentioned, ridicoulusly impractical.

Yes. Her's are fallsihwhich can be springish, because Washington DC is at leat 2 years behind . But then they were too expensive. Now they are on sale.

open toe boots are a must-have. i just love them. they look so original and qwerky!

i like how they look on pepople, but i always wonder how do they not freeze to death! i think they might be faking and secretly are freezing their bullocks, but their toes should be red, right? do you wear it in a specific weather??

It depends on the style of the boots, i wouldn't like ankle boots with an open toe for example. For some reason i keep coming back to these Miu Miu lace ones.At the beginning i wasn't sure but, i kind of like them now so i might get them
