I am saddened to see so many women place a taboo on wearing thigh high or crotch boots. I can bet you that most men would love to see their ladies in a pair out on the town under their arm just to see the sheer strength and power their women posess in front of others not afraid of what the moral majority might think. I find them very attractive and don't look down on a woman as a wh*re or prostitute just because she wears them. I think of her as a very sexy woman who is not afraid to show off her assets especially for that special someone who can get very turned on by this. I encourage more women to wear them and only wish I could find another with this bravery before I get old and gray. I know this will probably upset a lot of you but I just wanted to have my say and hopefully encourage a move in the other direction for a change. I would be very proud of the woman who posessed this strength.

Yeah but if you're British - like me, thigh high boots are not so much a sexual taboo - more that you might be accused of being the Principle Boy in a pantomime.
For those of you that don't know what a pantomime is - its a kind of play popular at xmas time in the UK
heres a definition
1. The plot is loosely based on a well-known fairy or folk tale, BUT is less about telling the story than an excuse for humor--from slapstick to political/social satire to double-entenres.
2. One of the conventions is that the male lead character (and perhaps one of the male supporting characters) is played by a woman and at least one of the female characters will be played by a man (called a 'dame role.)
Sometimes the Dame will be a villainess (like the Wicked Queen in 'Snow White'), in which case the player's masculinity will make her more grotesque and menacing; if she's a 'good' character (like the Fairy Godmother in 'Cinderella'), the 'gender bending' will be played for laughs.
The male character/female player's costume will have hose instead of trousers. (and often thigh length boots)
3. There will be lots of songs. Frequently they will be well known tunes (pop tunes, folk songs, perhaps even hymns) with new (and usually funny, or at least silly) words to them.
4. Sometimes there will be cameo appearances by celebrities.
Hope this helps.
The Principle Boy (always played by a woman) often involves the wearing of thigh length boots and a lot of thigh slapping. Wear boots like this in the UK and don't be surprised if you see people slapping their thighs when they see you.
