Pale / Fair Skin - What Are Your Fave Products?

I still believe that MAC Strada is the best blush for pale people. its a beige/pink tone blush, on the container it looks grey, but once its on, its the best best blush ever.

I also feel that matte skin is the best look for pale skin, sometimes, the porcelain face look which can be achieved with a high coverage foundation such as Studio fix, and beauty powder or the mineralized skinfinish, on the cheekbones.

^Would you recommend one of the Barbie Mac collection beauty powders? I want to try the brown one to bring a touch of colour to my face, but I'm worried about looking too 'plastic'..

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for posting on this thread (which I only just realised existed). Ive just read through everything and I feel like Ive picked up some very good tips for my pale skin!! Thankyou!

JJbunny I'd say you just needed a bit of mascara, maybe some eyeliner and possibley some pressed powder.

What's everyone's opinions on using colour corrective powder (ie green). It makes you a bit paler but I think it's worth it for getting rid of redness.

Just don't put too much on or you'll end up like this.

Boots natural collection colour corrective powder, Boots natural collection shine away pressed powder (cool), cover up (I do have lips), lipstick with eyeshadow on top, some form of eye makeup.
(I was dressing up)

I've used it, even though I don't need it. Concealer or foundation is enough for me. Even the slightest amount left a green glow on me.

I had some vintage Vogues from the 60s that advertised green powder for looking whiter. It was kind of amusing, so that's why I tried it. But I don't usually think trying to be whiter than you are looks very good.

The other day I saw on the Givenchy counter there is a lilac foundation that Im not sure whats its purpose? Anybody knows the effect of the lilac on the skin??

^ to counteract the sallowness in the skin and give u a red glow... usually a pale person dont really need it...

exactly, counteracts yellowness. its good for people with overly yellow skintone, which makes it hard to match a foundation without looking like you have hepatitis.

MiuMiu, I haven't used any of the Barbie MAC collection yet, but im sure that it wont make you look plastic at all, all of these products are good if used with moderation.

I use the 187 brush to achieve that polished porcelain look, with the lowest amount of product.

I like this brush too. It's a little big for my tastes, so I ordered a 188. I've been waiting forever for it though.

I have tons of freckles (red hair), and so it's extremely obnoxious. I'm deathly pale, but the tons of freckles give me some pigment. My neck is multiple shades lighter than my face, let alone my boobs  I've gotten a routin down, but are there any products that work well for people with freckles?

i dont wear makeup anymore but ive switched from black to dark brown mascara for special occasions(going out at night usually). i like how it still defines lashes like black but doesnt look as harsh against my skin, black looks more inky, i tend to like everything more natural looking *maybelline full n soft*

oh! and lumene makes a foundation called doublestay that is very, very pale in its lightest shade. I didn't like the texture, though.

when you have freckles, you dont want to add a lot of coverage, because its gonna still show through, and it wont look so good.

I'd reccomend a light reflecting, sheer foundation, such as Hyper Real from MAC or Diorskin Pure Light, you'll have a better chance to find a skintone match at MAC, because Dior doesn't make the Pure Light in any shade lighter than 200.

The light reflection will act like a flash on your skin, it will "blur"the freckles out a bit, but the light coverage will even it all out, and still show your skin through, without looking cakey, "trying to cover my freckles" look. Just a bit of concealer under your eyes, over any imperfection, and then apply the foundation with a brush that will give a nice finish, like again MAC 187.

At this point, embracing the freckles is the best thing to do. I wish I had them

I miss my red hair though, because its such a great contrast against pale skin, very very Opium from YSL.

^ I'll try MAC because I've been looking for a good foundation for awhile. Yeah, it's funny because never guess I'm wearing foundation simply because they can actually see my freckles. I don't like them, but whatever  Yeah, and I have BRIGHT red hair (not that strawberry blonde, dull color), so it makes an interesting contrast between my ghostly whiteness :P I wish I had blue eyes, but I think the hazel eyes help to warm up my skin tone quite a bit, so I don't have that 'dead" pale color.

^that's where the red lips come in :innocent:

I cannot find a good red lipstick! I honestly look like a wh*re with red lipstick. I can't figure it out

Oh I want to dye my hair red again...

I guess my natural shade contrasts nicely with my paleness too. But red was so interesting before it faded to murky brown.

i used to have red hair (goldwell 9kg :P ) but i couldn't afford the upkeep. i loved it and really miss it though... someday i'll go back to it i'm sure. it was more of a cintia dicker red. a lot of people thought it was natural!
