Pale / Fair Skin - What Are Your Fave Products?

Who else has problems with dark circles? Mine never go away completely, regardless of how much sleep I get. Finding a concealer is tricky because a lot of the ones I've tried don't cover without being cakey, or since I have such light skin ends up looking strangely bright...sort of a reverse raccoon effect. I use Clinique Airbrush Concealer for the occasional blemish but it doesn't work very well under my eyes. What do you all believe is the best concealer for dark circles?

i really dont like Clinique's Concealer it always rubs off at the corners of my eyes and cakes on the opposite side

^ as mentioned before covergirl fresh complexion is good. i used the second lightest which is creamy natural. i think the lightest is ivory but they dont sell that at the walgreens i go to. its light coverage*but it works..supposedly light reflecting..i dunno but it works! and its buildable. i usually use like one dot amount of concealer and that does the trick but if you looking particular tired a certain day then you can layer a lil bit more w/o it being cakey etc

Here's my white-***! Well, not literally, more like me with a full face of makeup. Like I said, I prefer to keep it simple even though I'm wearing foundation, powder, blush, liner, shadow and mascara. The first two are recent and the second is from a year ago. Please excuse my fat head. And I'm not high, I just have unnaturally large pupils :p

I like Cargo Gotham blush. It's got a pearlescent blue highlight to it which matches my veins perfectly.

As for concealer, I've got tons of them including the vaunted Cle de Peau, and it's all crap by the end of the day. Sleep, drink loads of water, keep your sinuses clear, take vitamin K, don't look in mirrors. Embrace your dark circles as you do your pallor.

Everyone here seems to be pale in a different way to me - I have mousy brown hair (both red and blonde highlights when the light hits it), pale skin with pink undertones and blue eyes. Also, I think I'm paler than a few of you who consider yourselves pale - seems that pale for Asian girls is nowhere near as pale for an Irish girl! Mac NC15 is one of the only foundations that matches my skin exactly :(

So anyway, my questions are:

  • What colour blusher to wear - already am pink, surely peach would look odd on my colouring?
  • What colour eyeshadow? have v dark circles, btw. Touche Eclat does nothing for me. I always end up wearing browns/golds
And my favourite products for creating a flawless pale face are Laura Mercier concealers (compact for face, cream concealer for undereyes) and Lancome Photogenic powder in translucent

^ Yeah, I've noticed the high amount of Asians here. Asian pale really doesn't compare at all to white girl pale :p My body is literally white like a sheet of paper. I've yet to meet any asian who even comes anywhere close to that.

I've found that most blushes in the pink/peach family look good on me. I'd say stick with a light/medium toned peach. They tend to look good on a variety of skin tones. I've found that they warm me up with making me darker a la a bronzer.

I wish I was white like a sheet of paper, paper doesn't have a weird pinky tinge to it :p You can literally see blue veins crisscrossing my legs and chest - it's so gross. No wonder I spend so much money on self-tanner!

^ Yeah, I understand! And whenever I scratch myself, it looks like I was attacked! Do you ever get that? One time my neck and chest were itching, so I scratched them and a few minutes later someone was like "OMG, are you OK?!?"

people also make fun of the exorbitant amount of sunscreen I use at the pool. I just tell them, whatever, at least I won't look like a hag when I'm 40 :p

On the same note, when there are 3-4 people claiming to have brown-black hair in a fair skin thread, I start to feel much less special. Then I realized you all were Asian.

... That sounds really rude, but it's not meant to be.

I don't know just how fair I am. I did run into once instance when a foundation was too light for all-over use. Normally they are just too pink for me.

!! I've been trying to find a match with a new mineral foundation, but all I keep noticing is the bluish green under my skin. :alien: Then the foundation looks really opaque and flat. It makes it impossible to find a match.

Is anyone else green underneath, or what? Does foundation look bad over it?

^lol u doesnt sounds rude (im already glad that u accept the fact that there is pale/fair Asian lol some of us here, include myself, were told to get tan to look healthy or to look "Asian")
Speaking of Pale Asian, I have to say it is different from say Caucasian Pale.
using myself as an example, i am paler then a lot of people, both asian and caucasian, in my skool. of course i know quite a few that is paler them me, and their skin were like literally white.
(and this is the weird part kicks in) but my skin is very transculent. depend on the light, my skin tone can change quite a bit (this is why i hate foundation), occassionally u can find viens on my body, face and more frequently on my hand and legs. and the only time i get tanned is when i was under the sun from 7 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon...
anyhow there is diffrent kinda of paleness, we should not bite each other's head of due to the fact that we are not in the same ethnicity or so....

BTW, are your veins less noticeable with the self tanner?

Oh yeah, absolutely, and it takes the majority of the pinkness out of my skin too. I should note that I wear quite a good bit of self-tanner and it's dark (for me!). I use St. Tropez, not one of those gradual tanners or moisturisers that give you a hint of a tan. Luckily because my hair is brown it doesn't look unnatural on me, and I spend a lot of money to make sure the one I use isn't orangey ;) Plus I've no choice, my skin literally does not tan. I lived at the beach for four months and didnt' get one tan line

OMG, girls (and fellow boys) if you have trouble finding a drugstore foundation pale enough for you, look into Loreal's ivory shades. For years I have not even looked at Loreal twice, as I was devoted to my Revlon Colorstay, but I bought some Infallible in 605 Soft Ivory yesterday and it is the first time I have ever found a super pale foundation for me that isn't too pink. I am quite pleased, if I do say so myself :)

Yeah, I used to switch a lot between expensive foundations and then on total impulse bought a l'oreal true match in Rose Ivory and it's absolutely perfect. A lancome make up artist (who attacked with a blusher, when I was at a counter, for being so pale) complemented me on how my foundation was absolutely perfect for me and the colour looked so natural :p .

I have L'oreal True Match too, though I'm not incredibly impressed with the foundation itself, it is good for finding a match. Even though I have to mix W1 with W2 every time.

^ last time i tried it.. the lady put W2 on me... but since im broke (as usual), i didnt bought it
anyone tried red earth's secret potion?
