I know! Drives me crazy when powder gets too dark! And loreal's powders always turn dark by afternoon. Did you use the trumatch? that one is the worst offender.

^ wow how do u know O_O but the maybelline one (which apprently they are in the same group) didnt have that so far...

I use Benetint cheek stain and Benefit Georgia powder, gives me a light glow without looking fake...

In summer, when I'm slightly tanned or go out, I use Clinique city block sheer tintend underneath (way too dark for me in winter). But I really have to spread it out thinnly, or you'll notice it

Apart from that, concealer on spots. Eyeshadow (Sanssouci) in "Coffee" and brown mascara.

i am pale as hell. i've tried most of the big brand powders and foundations, and i absolutely cannot live without my Benefit Get Even compact.it smooths everything out so nicely without looking too...well powdery.

has anyone tried benefits highbeam? i've been looking for an illuminator for those days when i look like the living dead :P

^ i actually wanna try the blanc universel one, it gives me that cosmic/angelic look i likr for a long time

I was using Chanel foundation before and I find their products have to much perfume. It was good for my skin though, since I am so light.

Benefit has amazing cosmetics and I love their some kind of gorgeous, which is a foundation that can go over any skintone (which is crazy because I can use it and so can my Spanish friends who are so much darker). It basically creates a nice finish on your face.

what about these products from benefit? i <3 their stuff, but im wanting to try these:

dandelion blush

the description sounds lovely.. "Start your day the "perk-me-up" way, and keep them guessing how you look so pretty this early in the morning. Dust on our soft, pink, perk-me-up powder for instant radiance and a youthful appearance. It's the perfect shade of pink that brightens everyone's complexion without looking powdery or chalky."

high beam

"The celebrity makeup artist's secret... this satiny pink highlighter creates a young, radiant, fresh complexion on all skin tones. Use it as a spot highlighter or blend all over your complexion...the soft-focus sheen is enticing and sexy."

any good? sound fab.

^ I love their Dandelion powder.
I am very pale and it gives me a healthly glow but my skin still looks bare.
I like the little brush that came with it alot too.

^^ thanks! i was hoping it would look like that - i hate the fake look. ive been mulling it over for a few weeks now and ive decided ill get it!
as we are now going into winter, here comes my winter white skin..
though maybe i should call it my all year round white skin

dandywarhol, i love the dandelion blush. (i also have the gorgeous georgia blush) i am also super pale. i agree that the brush is quality.

Ha! Everyone complains about the caucasian pale, the asian pale....what about the HISPANIC/EURO mix pale?! Ha ha. I'm so strangly pale, yet not pink at all, and still yellow shades are a tad to fake looking for me.....i used to use deauville in nars... (myspace.com/poorkitty for reference.)

I have tried it before and by noon I was PUMPKIN orange. Ew. Nasty. NOT okay, at all.

I like maybelline's dream matte pressed powder. Now that is a good drugstore powder to touch up with during the day. Lovely stuff.

You should stay between the shades of MAC's studio fix c2 or c3 and use the medium dark blot powder. that should help because the C's in studio fix are the apricot shades that are between pinks and yellows.

About the Chanel Brilliance Pur, I have that little gem and it works fiercely with a foundation brush after you apply liquid foundation, and just do very quick strokes around your cheekbones. That will give you an almost glass cheek look

I do have the transparent shade which doesn't seem to appear on the site.
