I heard about that anchor that tore up/tried to burn the story on air, and all i can say is that she was obviously looking for publicity herself: obviously if you do that at the height of the news cycle you are going to get extra press for it. i feel angry that people have fallen for it.
Jee, if you had done years of intensive study to get you to a level where you could be a journalist, would you be happy being forced to report about Paris Hilton as a lead story? Of course she had a hissy fit. Why shouldn't she stand up for herself? Other journalists should follow her example and stand up for what they believe in. Reporting about Paris is NOT news, it never has been and it never will be. I don't know why there has to be some sort of ulterior motive for the woman to get pissed off, just because she's on air it doesn't mean that she has to play along and play nice, if she's going to make a statement she should do it when she feels like it..
