I need to ask a fashion/style question...wearing a one off shoulder top, if the bra strap shows is it ok or a no no? provided that the bra is the same colour as the top? i know some categorize it as tacky but i wanted your views on it?

Well, I seem to be the lone dissenter here, but for what it's worth, I like how it looks. Provided that the one-shoulder item is fluid and fairly loose-fitting, and preferably with a pretty strap. If it's a structured or body-con style, then a visible strap doesn't look good to me either.

how do you wear scarves? I have lots of scarves but never really wear them 'cause I don't know how

GasolineRainbow, actually its a fluid/loose sorta top, thank you for your input much appreciated:flower:

For me it depends on what type of scarf (shape and material),and what else I'm wearing. Sometimes I look at other people and wish I knew how to do my scarf like theirs

Does anybody know a store that carries Hussien Chaylan ( apart from browns fashion or eluxury.com)?

^ You might try Shop till you drop ... if he doesn't have a thread already, you could start one. I believe it's Hussein Chalayan (for the search) ...

What dress shirt size are they talking about when stores say '26"L from shoulder to hem'? Does that mean it's 26" in a medium or a small?

i get so happy when i put together a new outfit out of stuff that is already in my closet...

^_^

or how about when you get one new thing and it just makes all this other stuff that's in your closet suddenly work perfectly...?!

that just makes me SO happy!!!...

:p

Yes!

I have recently purchased a pair of shoes that make all the difference in my look, I am honestly dreading the day they wear out as I have never found a pair of shoes I feel more like me in..

I feel like I have figured out what works for me, and now its all about adjusting it..making the clothing become a second skin. I need more white t shirts feel I have to stock up on them for summer.
I also bought a pair of Wolford 20 denier tights for summer ..

pucci...what do these shoes look like...?
they sound pretty special...

^_^

Hi Soft.

They are this seasons Ann Demeulemeester lace up shoes, I have always loved lace up shoes, you know it's so nice when you find something that really stands out when you look through so many 'nice but not quite there' shoes.
And you the shoes on with what you already have in your wardrobe, and it all comes together...perfectly..like a symphony.

I am quite selective I don't really have many shoes either..but these are pretty much perfect. :)

^ I wish I had a pair of those they are so stunning I am glad that Ann Demeulemeester is getting so much recognition lately.

wow---
THOSE shoes...

to be honest...
i am rather shocked by how many people have got those shoes...
it used to be really hard to find demeulemeester footwear...
and even harder to find anyone wearing it..
but these past couple of years she has really had a footwear boom!...

way more stores are carrying the footwear...so it's way more accessible these days...
i'm not so sure how i feel about that...
:ermm:...

i do love those shoes though...^_^...
i'm sure you will enjoy them pucci mama...

*i just discovered this picture from Yohji s/s 2002---or maybe 2003?...
i have this top/tunic/mini...silk on top and grey lycra on the bottom with a hole where her hand is...
i never saw the runway version...
i have to say...
this really inspires me and makes me want to try styling it a whole different way than i have been...
you wouldn't believe how i have been wearing it!...
:p

I know...it can be off putting, I had to special order them at the beginning of the season, because nowhere stocks them in 35 ...but, you just feel it when something is 'pure' I really do believe this and then it really does not matter because you know that that you will wear them differently to most..^_^

That tunic is really gorgeous...so elegant!

thanks mama!...

so- i recently figured out that if i don't lace up my anna molinari shoes all the way- they are more comfortable and easier to put on and take off...
...

i am SO happy about this and plan to wear them much more often as a result!...
:D...

* such little things make me happy...:p

I brought this dress a week or so ago, but am still not sure about it. I love the dress but think it over emphasises my hips. To return or to not return? Any advice much appreaciated :flower:
