Everything by her is pricey as hell but I think it’s way less pretentious than anything Matthieu is doing at Chanel. Her clothes has never been about intellectual-ugliness.

Phoebe is only 2 year in so she is still establishing consistency for the brand and not burning the candle at both ends, they are already spending millions its not easy nor cheap to make it happen.

Tom did same thing on store level the reality moves slower so it takes time for people to discover her on the shop floor she is going after real sales not press and social media praise because we all know that's not the reality of moving products.

I think the styling and photography and casting can open up a bit more sure!!!!!! but when you shop for clothes you want to rely on a brand to have certain things.

And she is right to continue to reclaim her style, she knows as soon as she does something new the industry will replicate it again.

I like that her brand feels already grown up and real, consistency worked for Ralph Lauren and Hermes etc

Also its her style not Celine not Chloe its Phoebe Philo so anything she does is the brand, this is also different than a Blazy at Chanel reinterpreting an archive or history and rifing of Phoebe´s old Celine and changes each collection because he is clueless to build a proper language or wardrobe for his new era of Chanel and has a backing of an 18 billion euro business built by KL and VV efforts .

Phoebe deserve all the time and grace to do her thing on her term, i hope she sticks around for a long time.
she is the modern time coco chanel doing thing and copied by an whole industry.

I agree with you. Though her clothes in general look better on tall women so they don't have the universal appeal compared to the old Chanel.
But she doesn't need to be coco. Not everyone wants to be an 18bn empire.

true her silhouette is more for tall ish ladies but the separates work for many, if i was a woman i would be buying her stuff it as credibility beyond being trendy stuff because of the boring quality to most of her best pieces which will have staying power in long term , how vintage pieces work forever because they are time/era wise ambiguous. (most of her shoes i do hate too old celine arty lady stuff and print effects are not my taste, i feel statement jewelry ages the looks to arty celine gallery lady , rtw is mostly more timeless and bags )

also hate the influencer aviators look sunglasses every ig girl has for the last 5 plus year with oversize shoulder toxic modern karin of fashion look for me. lol

oh no she won't reach 18 billion and i am sure its not her goal she didn't even do fragrances at celine let alone beauty now

modern day coco comment was in regards to influence and rebellious boyish style and in being consistent even if fashion moves on or not etc not in size of chanel today ..even in her own time chanel was not 18 billion but she wanted success .

i know someone at her office, she does want it to be successful even while she is figuring it all out if she gets to the size of her celine days its a great accomplishment for a new brand nonetheless.

this black dress with is curved seams is like personal heaven

its so boyish but still not cosplay and works best on women and real daily life.


i love this type of boring ..years of knowing what work or not yet trying to refine it year after year.

That being said, perhaps more women should try to adjust a men's jacket to their shape, that would probably yield a betrer result than the majority of 'boyfriend jackets' currently found on the market…

With my height none of these works. And the ultra long sleeves. Dude I have a job and I need to cook for kids. Anything longer than my wrist is for cleaning purposes lol
