I was thinking about getting the top of my ear pierced and i was wondering what your opnions were about them.
I would get a small pretty earring ( maybe pink..)

So dont be shy- tell me what you think :D

I think if you get it done, it should be because *you* like it and want it, not because of what other people think. Go for it.

If you like it go for it.

I advise you to get it done by a professional body piercer though. I had it done years ago with a gun and it actually shatters your cartilidge so I still have a small bump on the back. I don't wear anything in it anymore, but i think I could still get something in it if I tried.

I say go for it. If you like the way it looks, why not?!

I'd like to echo the sentiment that you should have it done by a piercing professional, though. :flower:

you definatly need to get it done with a needle totally works way better than a gun and it's not as painful... still expensive to get someone to jab you with a needle but i got mine done for 35$ by a professional but thats cause i also had to pay for the hoop. or you can go to malmo sweden find some old lady in a pericing/tattoo shop on a back street she did them for 10$ but she doesnt do hoops she only uses studs.
some people say it'll hurt for a good while or not that long it really depends on how much you can tollerate it. i couldnt sleep on my left side for like.. 6 months cause i wasent used to it

do what you want

I've had mine for years now, and still love it. It wasn't painful, but as with most piercings, that depends on the individual... The one problem I found was with sleeping, because it meant that I couldn't sleep on the one side for a while.
I get bored periodically too, and remove it. Luckily, it's always stayed open for me, which is convenient. You need to get it done professionally as well.

I heard that its the worst ear piercing, because of the nerves that are situated in the top of the ear. But its just my opinion.

I want to get mine done 2,hopefully gettin it done in july for the summer

i have mine done twice at the top of my ear and love them:P

although i do find when i put my head on that side the studs tend to stab in me in the side of the head which is quite uncomfortable!

if you like it then go for it! and if you end up not liking it then you can always take it out and let it heal up!:flower:

I got mine like 2 years ago, and it was really painful, but depends of the person, the piercer, and the place.

Anyway, all the pain worth it, because i love my piercing.

I say, if you like it, go for it. :flower:

Got mine done like 3 yrs ago I think, and it's cool in the beginning and then you get bored of it after like a month. I still like mine, but I am no into it anymore. I might get another done. I think having two small silver studs might look better. But I am too lazy and cheap to get another whole done.

I agree that I personally don't like them.....
But as everyone said, if its your thing, and its what you want, go for it and enjoy it

thanks everyone
I wont base my decision on what u have said but i like to get everyones opinions :D

I still havent decided yet whether i want it done or not  The only thing keeping me from getting it done is the pain.. i'm just a chicken hehe and not being able to sleep on it will probably bother me a bit

I'll think about and let u know in a few days

Don't worry, it really isn't painful. It DOESN'T hurt when you get it pierced. And at night, it only hurts if you rub it on your pillow. If you sleep on the other side, you won't even feel anything.

I've had my "cartilage" pierced for YEARS...probably over 10 and I havent put an earring in over 2 and its still opened. for some reason, it bothers. i also couldnt sleep on my left side (where i have the piercing) for a while and i couldnt talk on the phone on that side because it bothered. the piercing isnt painful at ALL!! but its a B* after.... atleast it was to me! :(

go for it if you like it...my friend pierced mine, but maybe its better to have it done by a professional since its cartilage and can shatter...you cant see it on my ear, but you can feel where the piercing used to be.

I would recommend getting a hoop put in when you get it pierced because every time I try and put a stud in mine, it hurts like crazy. I got mine done at Claire's which I know you aren't supposed to do, but they pierced it with a stud. Anyway - it didn't hurt to get it pierced, the heeling part certainly did though. At least when trying to lay on that side on my body.

i dont think i'd get a hoop because its tricky because i play soccer

easier with a stud to tape it down then a hoop..

I'm thinking about getting it done more the i am not

just gotta get some money lol
