Pop Fall / Winter 2010 : Britney Spears by Todd Cole & Takashi Murakami

the photography sucks!!! britney looks completely lifeless, i love the takashi murakami involvement but the result is If-U-seek-Amy-ing disappointing :(

i cant wait to get it anyway!

I always love how weighty this magazine is, and this one is no exception. The Valentino edit is nice, it's printed on a lovely matt paper too. And, and most importantly, this issue has a page of STICKERS. Oh yes. Murakami stickers. Brilliant.

love the art direction in the Rome editorial !
and love that picture of the girl like pretending a pipi or blow-job ... the lights of the car, the styling etc.
good picture.

but overall, the styling in the ed is half-half ...

and i think having such a great model Eniko and a very fragile one, is great !

Me too, Eniko and Tetyana are such an odd pairing but they complement each other so well and bring a strange sense of realism and vulnerability to the editorial.

It's been a while since I've seen a story with such pure photography that isn't only about names or clothes.. just perfectly balanced pictures you want to rip and hang somewhere.. something changed in the last couple of years but these kind of stories have unfortunately become so rare. They remind me a little of Ola Rindal's work.

I only scanned in the first half/three quaters and I'll try to finish them off later.

Love every shot in Blonde Ambition so far....except maybe Valentina's, Vlada's and Diana's. Some of the portraits are truly glorious. The shot of Marloes for instance is absolutely fantastic

Totally agree, also with the ones you didn't like (I'd add Doutzen to that list...). And yes, some of the shots are quite epic yet always very simple and I guess that simplicity only makes them more epic in the end. My favorites so far are Hanne Gaby's and Naomi's, looking forward to seeing how Kirby is performing it as well.

They excluded the best blond of them all, Lara Stone!
Honestly I'm quite happy she's not in I must say -_- She would have looked gimmicky there to me.

I think it's a wonderful editorial, some really nice shots. But do we really need to highlight blond hair and whiteness in general anymore than we already do in fashion? Maybe I'm reading too deep into it.

I only like Doutzen, Marloes & Maryna's shots, thanks for scanning, great job fearless123.

 I think I read it in the thread for the S/S issue, but apparently Conde Nast has some sort of retainer on the bigger models which is why they don't appear in magazines like this or something. I hope someone can correct me or fill us in on this.
