Porter #9 Summer Escape 2015 : Joan Smalls by Ryan McGinley

very hans feurer? this worries me  sick of that kind of work

i hope it looks better than it sounds ;)

I NEED this issue!! It's amazing. I'm loving every shot

Goodness at Magda. She is definitely one of the best models at the moment.

OMG those shots with my Arlenis Sosa are breathtaking!!!! See this is what Vogue should be producing for their June and July editorials. Natural outdoors shots.

This will be my first Porter issue that I will buy in awhile.

Love Arlenis, Andreea and Magdelna's shots. LOVE!!!

OMG :woot: Arlenis and Magda are killing me n bringing me back to life!!!!!! perfection is an understatement.

It's nice to see a summer issue that is ALL summer styling! W's June/July issue for example, has a pants/turtleneck/coats edit. Come on!

Magda is doing a terrific job in that ed, that first pic is beautiful.

I am SO in the right mood for all of these eds. And how lovely to see Sosa again, makes me excited to get the issue, and enjoy it, because i always prefer eds even more so, in print.

I love Andreea's editorial the most although all of them are really beautiful. Porter is consistently good, one of few magazines that actually tries anymore.

The editorials are very, very samey and hardly cutting edge, but you know what? They are all really solid. I'm not usually one for the type of eds that Magda's in, but she really brings it to life.

Meanwhile Cass Bird's story with Andreea is refreshingly relaxed, but definitely an upgrade in production values compared to Bird's previous work. The Tom Ford shot is really gorgeous. Joan's story also looks much better in print, even though I'm still not 100% on board.

Wow, I'm beginning to admire the work of Cass Bird. Her story with Andreea is the highlight of this issue. I'm in love with every shot in that edit.
Not sure whether Ive just seen way too much of Hans Feurer, but the other two features bears an uncanny resemblance to his work. Its almost odd that Joan's story got the cover and not any of these three. Porter needs applause for actually turning out a summer issue in summer, which is something of a rarity in the fashion industry.

Magdalena's editorial looks like something that came from Vogue Espana.
Arlenis' editorial... Géraldine x Bensimon/Feurer for Vogue Paris?
Andreea's editorial looks like a cover story for The Edit.

But either way, besides the reference that I see, these editorials are beautiful. It's what I need to see for the season! It's inviting and it makes you want to hit the beach for some reason. But amongst all the editorials posted, Andreea wins. Her energy and happiness just radiates. You just feel it.

i think the editorials are all just ok...definitely a LOT of body inspiration there that's for sure
