Porter #8 Summer 2015 : Karlie Kloss by Bruce Weber

The cover is okay, but I never fell in love with a Porter cover. There's always something that's missing IMO. However, I like that they never are pretentious.

Me too!! I personally like how their covers are always natural and relatable without looking too commercial. The content too is a mixed bag - something for everyone. I was relieved to read yesterday that those Amazon acquisition rumours turned out to be baseless. It certainly wouldve made an impact on Porter in some way if it was true.

Gosh, they're covers for Porter magazine just get worse and worse don't they.

^I don´t know about that, imo this is the first cover that I don´t like but mostly cause I´m tired of Weber´s dog props. I also wish there was more contrast between Karlie and the background, there´s too much washed white going on.

Even if they're not great, Porter's covers are amazing when you consider most other magazines it competes with on the newsstand.

So excited to see Norman Jean Roy's edit, he's been stepping out of his rigid comfort zone and experimenting with a lot of playful themes.
